Blessings To Pres. Carter

A golden hereafter awaits this fine man as he goes into hospice care
Mr Carter, 98, is a great example of one’s faith in their spirituality guiding them, sustaining them, giving them peace - the same goes w/Mrs Carter as well - 95 years old, & one recalls another great statesman, Henry Kissinger, who turns 100 this year
these are the type of people I admire & want to emulate

Peace to President Carter.

I heard about him going into hospice care, last night. Sad but not unusual at his age. A long and interesting life lived well from what I know about him.

James Earl Carter, Jr!! President of the United States and a big Allman Brothers Band fan!!
And remember when Jimmy quit the Plains Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school when blacks showed up to worship there and they were directed by the ushers to the BLACK Baptist Church across town and the tracks?

The only president that I can remember who DID NOT lead America into a war during his tenure - despite the hawkish noises from across the aisle. Not a perfect man (name me one!) - but stuck to his ideals and beliefs - not kowtowing to those who thought oppositely. A man of peace is rare in Washington D.C.. His methods and beliefs gave way to the "visiting divorced dad" politicians who will say and do anything that (often) quite ignorant voters (children) scream for - only to get elected. Carter's early dismissal (one term) gave way to "Cowboy" Reagan - which paved the way for the likes of Trump and that Ronda gal down in Florida. We should all strive for peace every day - but we'll never hear that message again from D.C..

He was such a breath of fresh air when he took office in Jan 1977 -
his 3 predecesors, Ford/Nixon/LBJ, were all entrenched dyed-in-the-wool DC politicians who’d been around Capitol Hill/the White House forever
Jimmy brought a whole new ‘everyday-people’ perspective to the Oval Office -
he & Mrs Carter have had an amazing life, no ups are big enough

You can argue about if he was a great or even good President, but you cannot argue whether he was a great human being or not.
Dignified, humble and principled man of character and tenacious prophet of peace.

Agree with a lot of the sentiments expressed above, putting politics aside.
The "Rock & Roll President" documentary is must-watch. So glad they were able to complete and release it while he is still with us.

Right on cue our man Alan Paul pens a lesson in rock history online for the WSJ.
Bravo as always, Alan!
