Well what do you watch now that Wham has broken up?

Me, I dig good music and these guys are great. I posted this for fans who like the band before tix went onsale on Friday. Their live CD Leave A Scar hits a good portion of their repertoire. I saw them live 2 years ago and they won me over. They are a fun band out of Georgia. They do the south proud. This will be subtle being an all acoustic offering of their catalogue, but being a guitar lover I appreciate the rare treat. Electrically they would not disappoint. Here's a couple clips from that show. The first song is one where they inject a sampler of their own musical influences, they've touched on songs like Bob Marley's 3 Little Birds to Zep's When The Levee Breaks. On the version from the Rib's Festival in Jersey they dropped into Mississippi Kid by Skynyrd for a few bars.

For yourself.... Give 'em a listen.

Ain't Much Left Of Me

Up In Smoke

Sleeping Dogs

Good One Coming On

Let It Burn

Ain't Much Left Of Me Version #2 recent from Irving Plaza w/Marley tribute.

On a final add, If they're good enough for Gregg, Then they're good enough for me. Mr. Allman thought enough of these guys to appear on their song Free On The Wing. Mr. Paul did an interview with them before the 4 song acoustic set. The interview inc' a nice story of the Gregg interaction. I dig 'em.

Free On The Wing (acoustic from Cutting Room, NY)

I have seen them 3 times I think. Then I kind of moved on and didn't really listen to them much anymore. Saw they were coming to Kent and didn't have any interest, but now I might to hear their songs in the acoustic format. That might be cool.

I dig them....not everything (some of it's a bit too "obvious"). Saw them twice at Wanee and they nailed it during some afternoon sets.

Love this version of You Got Lucky they covered with Amanda Shires (Mrs. Jason Isbell) and Benji Shanks (Benji is a tour-de-force guitarist from Atlanta who guests with them a lot and hopefully is on this acoustic tour)
