Billy Strings Rips his own Set then Jams Electric with Umphree's McGee In Asheville Playing Hendrix

The Billy Strings - Umphree's McGee show last night was a blast. Tempted to do it again tonight. Billy sounds good over a big venue PA, even using some old school Pink Floyd-ish stereo effects going from side to side on the spacier parts and keeping it crisp and clean on the bluegrass. Umphree's McGee has it worked out and were awesome and sound as good as ever with a smoking drummer and twin lead guitars! Then off to late show by Dirty Dozen Brass Band whose New Orleans funk was unrelenting and fantastic. We had the run of the town, yet again, and it was a late but fun night.
Here is Billy Strings on electric jamming with Umphree's McGee last night in Asheville - with a super sweet tribute to the late Jeff Austin - pro shot - turn it up!!

Last night - Billy Strings full set pro shot in Asheville; Billy Strings is in his classic second night groove - tossing his hair by the third cut - the cool and spacey "Turmoil and Tinfoil" at the 8:40 mark...and letting it FLOW out of him....and a Tony Rice tribute with his version of "Cold On The Shoulder" ….....and a brilliant "Dust In The Baggie/Running" medley....and then Pearl's Jam's "In Hiding" and more....turn it up!!
Followed by Umphrey’s McGee W/ Billy Strings doing Jimi "Voodoo Child" cover from last night as well.
