Wish they were playing near me but closest show is several hours a way.

Liked what I heard on the cuts on the website and would love to see them with Jack Pearson as a guest.

Damn that is one big band!

I'm going next Thursday night at the Lyric Theatre in Birmingham, Al. Randall Bramblett is the promoted "guest" star.

Appears to be a one-off show for some reason.

@berkhath Hey Jamey!  The Lyric was still in the process of restoration when I moved from Birmingham.  Seems like a small venue ... will the BIG Band of Brothers fit on that stage?  😉

Any opportunity to see Jack Pearson and Randall Bramblett on the same evening should not be passed up on!

Seats about 800 people in current configuration, I believe. And of course, a Big Band of Brothers will fit on the stage!!! It's probably the same size as stage at the Alabama Theatre.

I'm a bit unclear if Jack will be there or not....he's listed more of a "special guest" on the album, isn't he?

@berkhath I reached out to Jack on Facebook messenger and he confirmed he won't be there. A student of his, Drew Smithers, will be playing instead. Dude's crazy good.

A brief review of last night's debut performance.

They performed every song on the BBOB recording, with Randal Bramlett singing lead on Statesboro, INMCTB, Whipping Post, and DKMW. A few songs w vocals were performed as instrumentals, like Dreams. Also performed two Sea Level songs, King Grand was one, not sure of the other.

Matt Casey played the slide guitar parts, not Drew Smithers.

Pretty close to a full house of about 800 people.

At times 19 musicians on stage.

Very different from The Allman Brothers Band, of course, but a very enjoyable one-off evening. I wouldn't go back again tonight, but really glad I went last night.
