Best Live Bands Out There

Top Five For Me
Umphrey's McGee- The link I posted is audio of the last time I saw them. The Soul Food I>Soul Food II>Soul Food III to start set two was really good.
https://archive.org/details/um2017-02-02.mk41.flac16
Greensky Bluegrass- The link is for the last time I saw them. Really good two sets than a Last Waltz Tribute encore. Leap Year and Broke Mountain Breakdown are good jams

Tedeschi Trucks Band- The mix of all there influences makes them so great. Plus Derek is probably the best guitarist out there right now. Idle Wind is great as the centerpiece song.

Phish- I think they have found there groove. Just finished listening to summer 2015 and all the shows where enjoyable. I'm glad they continue to include new music and Fuego has turned into a nice jam vehicle.
Jason Isbell- Saw him for the first time last fall. It was the songs that had me on the edge of my seat all night plus his band can play.

3 acts i try to see whenever i can:

Blackberry Smoke gets alot of love around here. I don't get it, the music is missing something.
Saw Marcus King Band earlier this year and it was a great show. New Mastersounds where quite good when I saw them.

The Avetts.

Andy Frasco & the U.N.
Not sure I've ever seen anything like them.

Big Something never disappoints - check them out if you get a chance.
Pink Talking Fish is blast.
Joe Russo's Almost Dead. Those guys take the Dead songs you know and love to a another level.
Toots and Maytals - Probably isn't touring much these days but man what a show.
Anything with Derek Trucks, Luther Dickerson, Jimmy Herring or Jack Pearson in it.

Off the top of my head...
TTB
Avett Brothers
Iron Maiden
St. Paul & The Broken Bones
Gov't Mule
Pearl Jam
Vintage Trouble
Could never get into Umphreys beyond some of their covers. Too much keyboard/synth.

Some I like and have seen of late, and catch whenever they come by:
Hot Tuna
Tinariwen
Meat Puppets
Moonalice
Israel Vibration
Proteje
Couple Oregon grown bands:
Sol Seed (Eugene)
Freak Mountain Ramblers (Portland)

Drive By Truckers
Govt Mule
TTB
Bob Mould
NMAS
King Crimson
Steven Wilson

Out where?

Buddy Guy
Quinn Sullivan
TTB
MoonAlice
Hugh Pool Band
Marcus King Band
( no particular order but Buddy is first as he is devoted to keeping his promise to Muddy to keep touring the blues)

'scuse me, ever heard of
the Dickey Betts Band?
This guy Dickey Betts, he's kinda good. Multi-faceted.
And he was right about this guy who even as a young' un was awesome.

Tom Petty
Railroad Earth
Walter Trout
Greyboy Allstars
TTB
Mule
Steve Kimock
Brian Auger's Oblivion Express
Jimmy D Lane

The Avetts.
Saw them last fall. Really good show. A band I'd go see in an arena.

Gina, your post reminds me of this song:
of which sadly, to an extent, describes me also.

Los Lobos

The Punch Brothers
St.Paul and the broken bones
Trombone Shorty

Interesting lists. I've seen most of the folks on these lists and I am curious as to what criteria you are using? For me, I need something that is upbeat, I can dance to it (or slam to it), something that moves me and some folks who's talent blows me away. I saw Tom Petty on 3 separate tours and while he's incredibly talented, he played the exact (and I mean EXACT) same shows and bored me to tears after seeing a few of them. I saw Miranda Lambert and fell asleep. Dickey's great, if he shows up. Ryan Adams is so full of himself, it often distracts from the show. Phish can be hit or miss, and it's a sausage fest. So here's some gas for the fire:
Drive-by Truckers and Jason Isbell never disappoint
St. Paul & the Broken Bones thrilled me and got me dancing like few shows can.
I've never seen a bad Gov't Mule show.
The Pixies are always fun. X are incredible
Bruce Springsteen is still the greatest live act there ever was, bar none. Sorry, not even debatable, just a fact.
Iggy Pop still brings it at 70, stage diving and ripping it up like few others.

TTB
Mule
Panic
Pearl Jam
Bruce

I agree on Pearl Jam - playing some of their best shows ever last tour (IMO)
Off course the Mule (show last Wednesday night may have been the best they have sounded to me yet and I have been going a long time)
Really enjoyed Ryan Adams and the Unknown Band a week or so ago - the whole band puts out a great sound.
Nothing else reallly like TTB out there - a big talented bunch of musicians
Lastly I will go with Dan Baird and Homemade Sin (100% pure rock & roll)

TTB
Gov't Mule
Stevie Wonder
Dr. John
Elephant Revival
But there are many more that I try not to miss.

Well, that's okay, at least you're not 'sitting on a park bench, eyeing little girls with bad intent...'
And don't feel bad, Springsteens Glory Days is something we all can relate to.

Tinsley Ellis
Dave & Phil Alvin
Albert Castiglia
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

TTB
Mule / Whatever Warren Haynes is doing
Cabinet
Rich Robinson (haven't seen Magpie Salute yet)
Kimock
jazz
Chick Corea
Brian Blade -whoever he is playing with
Herbie Hancock
Anat Cohen
to name a few

He retired a couple of years ago.
Are you trying to confuse her with reality? 😛

Lot of good ones on there. I am an admittedly avid Bruce fan so I will agree that he is the greatest entertainer ever. At least that I have seen. Opinion of course.
Drive By Truckers are just awesome.
Nice to see someone acknowledge Moonalice. I saw them years ago with Tea Leaf Green. Probably one of the most entertaining shows I have ever seen.
I will add a couple more:
JJ Grey & MoFro. Saw them at a street fest in Chicago years ago. Then saw them in North Carolina with The Drive By Truckers opening for the Allmans. That was awesome.
John Butler Trio. Guy from Australia. The guy is very unique, can play anything. His wife worked the merchandise stand when I saw him.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

The New Mastersounds are terrific live. Funky funky
