I remember the first time I saw Otiel play with the ABB. It was June 1997. I thought he was a fine player and a good fit. After Warren Haynes and Allen Woody quit, I was worried because I was happy with the 1989 to 1997 lineup. Otiel and Jack Pearson fit in nicely. The 1997 summer shows were real good. Perhaps they were slipping a bit from those very hot shows in the early 90's, but when Jack and Otiel got on board for about a year it souped up the band.
