I heard their vinyl records a zillion times at a friends place back in the Eighties but never owned them and up until recently only owned a Live At The BCC cd but now i bought their 76 songs / 4CD clamshell boxset "Final Wild Songs" and i'm thoroughly enjoying it. Also plenty of great songs on it i haven't heard before or forgot i did. Surely brings back fond memories from the Eighties when (marginaly) succesful bands like The Long Ryders, Jason and The Scorchers, The Blasters and The Georgia Satellites were bravely battling against the current state of the musis bizz which was mainly about synth, drum pads, shoulder pads and perms. All their LPs and EP's are included + a dozen of unreleased live songs, outtakes and demos in addition to a unreleased live concert on disc 4 recorded in The Netherlands (underscribing the fact that these kind of bands were very popular in the European club circuit). Strongly recommended.

I saw them once in Atlanta in the mid 80's and a great dive bar called the 688. I think they opened for the Violent Femmes. Pretty vague memories of it but know I did enjoy them. I always liked the album State of our Union.

They played what I think was a rare one-off show in Atlanta a few years ago but I couldn't make it.

That's all I got.

I have one of their albums on vinyl from way back when. It didn't click back then, but my tastes have gotten even better than they were, so will give them another shot. The set is available on Apple Music so I am checking it out now - so far so good. Thanks for the suggestion.
