any other book to read?

I've read all of Al Paul's books. I read greg's book and skydog and even red dog's book(pamphlet). What else is out there to read? Is galadrielle's book worth the time? What about Chuck? Is Tree man any good? Would love suggestions from the man himself if Al Paul is reading this. Hey Al what's your next project??

Read Kim Payne's and Willie Perkins books. Along with Red Dog's Tails those have the most info we haven't heard before.

I highly recommend Chuck Leavell's "Between Rock and a Home Place". He talks in-depth about his musical career. His stuff on The Stones is fascinating, even if you don't care for The Stones. The ABB sections are great as well. This is a really good read.
His book "Forever Green" is worth it if you are into the environment, which I am as I have a forestry degree. From what I recall, there wasn't much, if any musical discussion. It's been a while since I read it so I could be not completely accurate about that.
Regarding trees, he does discuss it in "Between Rock and a Home Place", but it is definitely about music.
Another awesome read is Johnny Sandlin's "A Never Ending Groove". I think I may have liked that better than the others I mentioned. I believe his wife used to post on the site here frequently. Went by Bigann I believe.
Hope this helps.

X2 on Johnny’s book (& all of them), & I’d mention Midnight Riders by Scott Freeman too - both these books, Johnny’s (RIP bro) & Scott’s, have fantastic appendixes of their favorite/most influential albums & info like that
sending out best wishes to Ann - it was almost her book as much as his, & her daily OMs were my favorite posts ever
that was a terrible year - Butch in Jan., Gregg in May, Johnny in Sept

I actually just got Chuck's "Rock & A Hard Place" yesterday. I've been tearing through it. Great stuff, and lots that I had not run across in other ABB books.

I don't know if this one should count but it is interesting at any rate.
Phil Lesh's autobiography: Searching For the Sound.
I got mine a long time ago and there was a CD included. If you get this new it might have the disc. Good luck if you buy it used. I haven't read it in a while but I think he discusses the Watkins Glen show. We have all read about it but I guess it's a different perspective.
And I liked the Scott Freeman book myself but it used to be dissed on this site. For someone just getting into the group, it is very informational.

or a longtime fan too imo - could never understand the criticisms of it as a glorified newspaper article etc - he clearly did his research, it’s well written & the appendix w/the mention of all those albums & bands is tremendous imo
along w/Al’s books, another you might like is Skydog: The Duane Allman story by Randy Poe, a great read

There is also "Play All Night!: Duane Allman and the Journey to Fillmore East" by Bob Beatty
Michael B Smith has also written a couple of books about the ABB, one being "The Road Goes On Forever", he also wrote a book about Capricorn Records, and with Paul Hornsby (Hourglass) "Fix it in the Mix: A Memoir"

I would add
Jorma Kaukonen: Been So Long
Bill Graham: My Life in and out of Rock and Roll
