So this is interesting - The Allman Goldflies Band. Many of us recognize David Goldflies' name, Allman Bros' bassist from 1979-1982. But the "Allman" I was surprised to hear was Duane & Gregg's cousin, Gary Allman. They have formed a band that pays tribute to Allman Brothers music and are touring around Florida. No one will mistake Gary's voice for his cousin Gregg (though he bears a familial resemblance), but I heard them do an interesting acoustic rootsy take of "One Way Out" with David on fiddle on WMNF Community radio today (streamed on facebook).

Anyone caught these guys?

Pretty cool, I had never heard of them either.
I do remember reading that Gregg wasn't too fond of playing with Goldflies, said he was "too busy" of a player or something to that note.

I didn't need two guesses to pick out the Allman in that picture, I can tell you that.
