Allman Betts Pale Horse Rider

Wow, dig that thru-&-thru - filming & music both, fantastic! Love what the guys are doing, & thank you Devon, Duane, Berry et al - the old west is so powerful - just great music accompanying it, man can that Devon b e l t or what
My 2nd fave OWO ever is w/Devon - sitting in w/DB&GS in 2004 or so

I like the song and it gets better as it flows along. I’m hit or miss with Devons voice, maybe he tries to much on some songs. He sounded better for me when he was in Honeytribe.

Maybe Devon sounds more like his uncle Duane.
Also Dickey didn't move to a Les Paul until later in 1970. He was using his SG he later gave to Duane and his old Strat. Here he is on the Strat and hits one of those CLANK notes Eric Clapton hits on slow blues and Key To The Highway on the Layla album with his old Brownie Strat. But I'm not sure Dickey's CLANK note was intended:)

I think the big difference here is that when Duane sang, he sounded like Duane. When Devon sings he tries too hard to sound like someone he is not.

I think you are right BIGV. I dig the way Berry Oakley, Jr. sings in the Allman Betts Band best. Maybe Devon is trying too hard to sing as good as his father who was the best singer BY FAR in the Allman Brothers Band all the way to 2014. Warren is no Gregg Allman and neither is Devon who is no Warren.
Maybe Devon needs to pick his songs better. I like him okay on Purple Rain and a few others.
There is a lot to like about Allman Betts. I saw them live earlier this year and saw some good music. Very nice Blue Sky.

Every time I see Barry I think he strikes a pretty near resemblance to Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Good, solid tune!
