I am excited to see what they'll bring to the table.

The sons of Allman Brothers Band royalty, Devon Allman and Duane Betts, are embarking on their first world tour in 2019 under the auspices of their new collaboration — the Allman Betts Band — with an exhaustive slate of more than 60 dates.

This year is one of milestones for the Southern rock families, marking not only the 50th anniversary of the Allman Brothers but the 30th anniversary of the younger Allman and Betts first playing together themselves. Devon is the son of the late Gregg Allman, while Duane’s father is Dickey Betts. Together with Berry Duane Oakley, the son of founding ABB bassist Berry Oakley, the group will play theaters across the country as well as 10 major festivals, including Mountain Jam in Bethel, New York, and Ramblin’ Man Fair in the United Kingdom. The tour kicks off March 27th at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York City.

Just heard there's a Saturday night show at the Stanley Theater in Utica, NY.....June 15th. For anyone near, the Stanley is a gorgeous theater right on Genesee Street in downtown Utica, NY. Several affordable hotels and motels within very close proximity.

I believe tickets are only $28 bucks for relatively good floor seats and there isn't a bad seat in the entire place as it only seats just over a couple thousand people.

They just toured like mad under a separate brand(s) so they gotta do it, I guess.

And the fans will benefit!

First show before the official tour kicks off will be at the Cutting Room on 3/26... BackStory interview with me followed by a performance... If you're in NYC area, this should be pretty special and very intimate. If not, it will stream on Guitar World YouTube and Facebook pages.

3/26 8:30 PM

Good for you, Ron. Noticed they're also in Rochester later in the summer....I also noticed they have a week or so off just before the July 4th weekend. I'm hoping they get booked for a Saturday late afternoon slot at Moe.down in Turin, NY as they have a New Jersey show on Monday after. Since they're in the Northeast, why not Moe.down?

They'd be a great addition to the Moe.down line-up and I relish the thought of both Devon and Duane coming out for Moe.'s final set to wrap up Moe.down with a tasty jam or two. Like a blissful Elizabeth Reed.... Cool

Going to the Norva in Norfolk on 4/9. No seating so the old body will have to stand but will be as close to a March Beacon show as there is.

** Caution** This post contains name dropping

Had a nice dinner with Johnny Stachela last weekend and was lucky to hear a bit of the new
album. What i heard was fantastic. I also got to see his new Les Paul and let me tell you the
kid is chomping at the bit to play this baby on stage. Looks like my crew will be at the Doheny
Blues Fest in May which ain't a bad deal!

I'm happy to see the support for this project here!
