Is it really that bad? More than a decade ago an old head gave me all of his old records and some of them were the Arista ABB ones and I never listened to any of those.

In my opinion "Brothers Of The Road" is probably worse, there's some listenable stuff on RFTS.
My local record store has Fillmore East and Brothers & Sisters on 180 gram vinyl. Once I get around to buying a turntable I might pick them up.

Not that I am that interested in this particular release, but I do wonder for more detail on method. Do they use old studio tapes as source? Is end to end product all analog medium with no digital anywhere in the chain? I am leery of all new and remaster vinyls. There is gimmickry and smoke and mirrors stuff going on with some new vinyl. If it had a digital mix prior to putting on vinyl, the analog end product is useless and a hybrid illusion.
I have a little thread I will put up soon on an interesting find I just got yesterday. Reel to reel soundboard ABB tapes from the day of 72 show. Looks like the real deal and will play test later. It may lead to some Duane reel to reel also. (Teaser Tidbit).

I got it and Brothers Of The Road on the same cd for $10. What the hell... it's Allman Brothers!

I have the Hell and High Water anthology CD, and actually like what I hear. Although it's not complete as a few secodary tracks from Reach For the Sky & Brothers of the Road are omitted.
"Madness Of The West" is a great song, though it sounds almost exactly like "Pegasus" from Enlightened Rogues.
180 gram vinyl will make Mike Lawler's keytar sound better than ever!!!

Just another money grab. hurry hurry get the money squeeze every penny you can from your TOADIES
