Rusty - I just checked the NBC Nightly News website where they have the previous evenings' broadcasts and there was nothing in there about the Allman Brothers. Did the leave it out of what they have archived?
Last night's video is 2:50 shorter than all the other evenings' archived show including the 27th. Looks like they did cut the ABB piece before they put it on the internet. Odd!?!

Tim - at about 16:48 of that video of the newscast there is a flash-frame of a picture of the ABB and the words Final Curtain. It doesn't stay up long enough to press the pause button! Obviously, it was shortened for whatever reason. What was in the newscast was about a 90 second segment stating that the ABB was staging their final concert at the Beacon ... some video of the theater and a few quick clips and photos from the bands run. For the most part - stuff we've all seen. I just thought it was cool that NBC paid note.
Brian Williams is a big music fan. I'm not surprised.
