My piece on Duane Allman?'s continued musical impact 43 years after his death, for the WSJ Speakeasy Blog?.

"Allman Brothers Band? still channeling late founder as final show approaches."

Thank you as always. It's such a bittersweet day. I have one of my Duane shirts on and I am just kind of dazed about it.

Great aticle Alan. In my own life , for the last 40+ years , there has not been a day when I wish Duane had not died so young. Can you imagine what Duane would have accomplished had he lived another 10 , 20 or 30 years . And it is easy to know why the current members are still driven by his spirit : he was THE BEST !
