@islalala It is puzzling about the Allman Betts Band. They were beginning to attract better than average crowds at smaller venues and two albums and bam it stopped.
Apparently there was a clash between Allman and Oakley.
But I've never read or heard a thing that says the band is officially over.

That is absolute insanity. IMO, for their mental and physical health they should not be taxing themselves like this. Two days in a row then one day off would be much more reasonable. Why kill yourself? You might end up killing yourself with drugs just to get through it.

The last 3 shows/days are Las Vegas->Honolulu->Redondo Beach,CA. Crazy!

The Allman Betts Band didn't break up, I think it was a just a little break. I know they're doing a few shows in the summer. I know there's one they're doing with Larkin Poe at some point.

@jszfunk: I had heard the name also but never heard Donavon Frankenreiter's music. Here's a 23 minute clip I found on YouTube. I only had time for a few minutes this morning but he sounds nice, in a mellow vein, kind of reminds me of Jack Johnson.

All things music have been part of his life. He knows what he's doing. I doubt he'll kill himself "with drugs just to get through it". Go Devon Allman!
