Born to..........Mr. Custer by Larry Verne
Never heard this song anywhere than on an old album of goofy songs we had in the house when i was a kid. The other song I remember from it was One eyed one horned flying purple people eater.
Convieved to.......El Paso
Both my parents were music lovers.

The one I'm guessing my mom & pop were getting jiggy with to conceive me with. 😛

Aquarius / Let the Sunshine In by The Fifth Dimension. I love that.

I checked the number one song for every year after that. Beyond 1990 when I turned 21, I have heard of exactly ONE of the songs. 25 years and just one song.

Guess I was born to be a dirty hippy. 😉

Well, the good news is that the #1 song during the time that I was conceived was Elvis', "Hound Dog"!

That couldn't have been the song you were conceived to. 😛

The cool thing about the popular music at the time I was born wasn't the #1 - Phil Harris- The Thing (just dreadful)- but that Goodnight Irene by the Weavers (with Pete Seeger) was in the charts for the entire final two trimesters of my mom's pregnancy (25 weeks). What makes it more poignant is that mom's name is Irene and I can just imagine how her social circle must have serenaded her with that lovely song throughout that time. Of course my dad also had the song on a 78 rpm record. My mom is still alive and at 92 is in decent enough health for her age.
