Oh and, Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Listen To German Music Weekend! Might hit an Oktoberfest at some point. I can't believe they are starting already.

I love Octoberfest time of year - I break my diet for schnitzel.

Someone find the pic of the blonde lass drinking out of a stein with the ample frontal area.
The Taste of Lincoln Square is this weekend but I guess they moved it to different street corners which I don't understand. That's a neat area and I thought it was fine.
This is also Taste of Greektown. What is around there anymore?

Not exactly the one I was thinking of but the one on the left is a reasonable facsimile thereof!

I don't have a lot of allergy problems but one day last week was miserable.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Tried to find the old picture - was unsuccessful. Looks like the old blue site only has the first page of each thread. I might have had it on Photobucket, but not worth paying to see my old stuff - thought I had copied most of them. Oh well ...

It's a nice picture. I recommend you continue searching.

Sang must still be looking for the picture of that girl.

Happy Hippy Weekend! Going to an art street fair this afternoon. Should be fun. Tomorrow I'll prolly go back as The Steepwater Band is playing. If you ever get a chance, check them out. They're a Chicago-based blues(ish) band but they are managed from a firm in Charlotte, NC.
Enjoy wottever you do.

"Good" 'ol Sunday Morning. I hafta go to some in-laws this afternoon and miss the second half of the Lions game.
I tried everything I could think of to get out of it. To no avail...

coot -
I stumbled across a Vine thread. I never understood that (never tried). Did someone just offer to send a CD show and then folks passed it on?
I saw one that you are on:
Happy 4th of July to all!
It's been a long time since I've been here. I stopped by a few weeks ago when I heard about the "new" Duane show that was available. (BIG thanks to oldcoot for that one!)
I'm trying to keep my once-upon-a-time status as a good viner alive, so today I'm hear to offer up a show that I hope some will find interesting.
I was lucky enough to attend this show last year. I wasn't a fan of Steve Earle on the way into the show. However, I was a fan on the way out. It was a great show for a great cause. Steve Earle talks A LOT during the show, but this is a cause close to his heart.
Here's what the venue posted about the show, followed by the set list:
Benefitting the Keswell School: An Educational for children and young adults with Autism.
On December 3rd, 2018, City Winery and Steve Earle are hosting the 4th annual John Henry's Friends benefit concert to raise funds for children diagnosed with autism. Steve Earle & The Dukes will bring their usual bring-down-the-house energy. Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks Duo and Warren Haynes will each join with sets of their own, making an unforgettable night of amazing music.
All net ticket proceeds will be donated to The Keswell School, an educational program for children and young adults with autism. Founded on the belief that children diagnosed with ASD can live full and productive lives as integrated members of their communities, The Keswell School provides educational, therapeutic and supportive services for children diagnosed with ASD and their families. This is a topic dear to Steve, as his son, John Henry, attends the school.

If this is a CD(s), can I get a copy of it? I don't recall it and never knew Derek and Susan had a connection to Steve Earle. Although Steve opened for a summer tour ABB before Derek got there (probably '93 or 94'). So there's a Warren connection.

Lee, the way a vine works is you signup below the person ahead of you, you are sent the discs that were originally burned, then you burn yourself a copy from the originals. When someone else signs up after you, you send the original discs to them. I still have these as no one signed up after me. I'll send them on to you. After this long it's highly unlikely someone else ever requests them. But if they do, you'd keep the copy you burned and send the originals on. I'm assuming that you're still at the same address? Can have them out yet this week.

I thought it was something along those lines with a vine. So, is the original supposed to be better than the ones after people are copying it? It makes no difference to me. I'd be more than happy just to have a copy.
And yes, we still live where we do. Thanks very much. Really looking forward to it!

Hey Sang -
Have you heard anything about the Neil Young show being rescheduled? The band said they were going to.

No - already got my money back. Thankfully Illinois has a law that you get all the money back - including the fees, since I bought them on the secondary market (SeatGeek). They tried to make me take a credit at first, adding 10%. When I said no, I want my money back, they upped it to 140% if I took the credit. I did not - don't want to deal with companies that add a $50 fee per ticket.

Tired and sore, but in a good way. Played golf Monday, Wednesday and today. Put in a new garage door opener Monday and Tuesday. Got tired of the old one not closing the door after backing out of the garage.

coot, I received the discs last night. Wow! That show is just awesome. Steve Earle did a very good job on "Midnight Rider" and "Teach Your Children" was very nice. Susan's background vocals were a good touch. A great concert with the interplay of the artists. Of course, Warren just HAD to get "Soulshine" in there. And Steve didn't even talk that much, which is shocking.
Thanks so much for sending it!! Although you could have used The Pony Express to deliver it; would have been cheaper!
