Who is The Evil One regarding Tinsley Ellis?

Evil was his long time bass player before an acrimonious split. Has since passed away, maybe 5+ years ago. He was quite a character.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol National Laziness Day!
I shall be a full participant, dutifully watching the Chicago Air & Water Show from the roof.

I'm busy doing nothing, spending the whole day through, trying to think of lots of things not to do ...

I read "someplace" that yesterday/today/tomorrow was "Universal Bong Toke @ Sunrise Day"? The Spicolian Calendar may have been referenced in passing within' the verbiage of the article. There allegedly was a quote from an anonymous source stating the perils of refer usage, or something to that effect. Which another source, whom likewise remained anonymous, suggested the quote was by "Sgt. Stedenko". Meanwhile, "Bubbles" was in the corner repairing a shopping cart, mumbling something about "Ricky". Oh yeah, had to whip out the ol' stick matches cause the Zippo ran out of juice.
Good Morning from Big Sky Country

Heading to the Illinois State Fair today to see Jason Isbell ...
Played in a charity scramble yesterday - my team won it finishing -9. I won longest drive, and I missed a hole in one by 3 inches ...

Saw the ABB at our State Fair for $35 back in 2000. Have a video of it too which was filmed with permission (not pro shot). May have to give that a watch.

Jason Isbell was awesome as usual. They had a backup (which we didn't know they were having) - Ashley McBryde. Way too country for me, but she was entertaining and her band was very good. Thought it was just going to be him playing from 8-9:30 - she played from 8-9, he started about 9:30 and played until 11:15. We didn't get back to the hotel until midnight. Stopped to see my dad on the way home today - he turns 96 on Sunday.

I saw Styx at the Michigan State Fair back in their heyday, probably '77 or '78. Around The Grand Illusion time. I was too short to see much back then.

I think Isbell played here a month or two ago. The only time I've seen him was with the Truckers.

Been pretty busy lately - yesterday we got the new roof on the house - it was hail damaged from a storm May 7. Took over 6 weeks to get a permit because the town was backed up with requests after the storm. Pretty much my whole neighborhood is getting them done. Also had some siding fixed. They still need to come back to do the gutters - hopefully early next week. And of course, it is supposed to maybe hail tonight ...

We had a bizarre massive December hail storm several years ago just hammered siding all over town. Any with vinyl siding looked like it had been machine gunned. Lots of repairs early the next spring and then another major hail storm in early June. Virtually all of the same houses had to have it replaced again. I have concrete siding, no damage whatsoever either storm. Did have to have new shingles though.

Goooooooooooooooooooood 'ol National Navajo Code Talkers Day! Apparently, it is a national holiday here. I thought it was a tribute to Col. Bruce Hampton or something but I guess then it wouldn't be a national holiday.
As an aside, I never knew Bobby Lee Rodgers was in the band. He's really good!

Saw Bobby Lee many times at Wanee - bought a couple of his cd's too ...

Overcast lightly raining day perfect for some whiskey and a cigar on the patio. Only decision is wott music to "treat" the neighborhood to.

Citizen Kane of course!

I think you were looking for Citizen Cope. 😉
Fortunately for the neighborhood I don't have any of his.

That I could have done! Which reminded me how many times I spoofed people by indicating I was sending a rare ABB, DTB or Mule show and then sending them Manilow instead.
Told Captain Skipper I was sending him the Holy Grail ABB 6/26/71 show, it was Manilow..... (then Skip turned around and did the same thing to several others )
Over time poor Wharfie got a triple dose of Manilow, Britney and Lady Gaga.

Wottever this politico show is here in town really frosts my buttons! Cops everywhere, streets closed, weirdos with signs blocking Michigan Ave, ugh!

Probably why he doesn't play here anymore.
Nah, this was years and years ago during the heyday of trading on the site, Mouse was cool with it. Eventually I always sent him the show he was expecting.
