Oh, and gooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Chicago NASCAR Weekend! Desired The City of Chicago hasn't quite mastered the "art" of building a race track on the busiest streets of a city with almost 3 million people in it.

Greetings and saliva-lations. Mother Nature heating things up big time this weekend. Then again it is July.

Not a big TTB fan but may catch a show toward the end of the month just to hear Derek live, it’s been a while.

Not been to the festival ... but 8 years ago I did have the pleasure of visiting Conwy following my niece's wedding ... lovely little town on the North coast of Wales ...

Just back this evening from a two week camping trip to Colorado. A lot of driving and unloading today, I need a vacation!

Went for a putt on my old '64 FL Panhead to Judith Landing on the Upper Missouri River Breaks today.   I am getting to old to be riding an old rigid frame.  LOL

Might be heading to The Square Roots Festival today if THB can take the excessive heat. It's like a roots-rock music kind of thing. The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion is playing tonight and I haven't seen them in probably 30 years. It's a fundraiser for The Oldtown School of Folk Music, an amazing place that many mainstream artists support. I have seen many great bands there. Warren was probably my favorite.

Roundup. It'll kill pretty much anything. Including people, depending on who you believe.

Back from Grand Rapids - great trip, played 3 nice courses.  Cut the grass, did the trimming, and then power washed our siding to get ready for the new roof.  I can barely move right now ...

You cut the grass on the golf courses? Isn't that frowned upon?

Been watching the first two days of The Open. Always entertaining to watch really good golfers struggle so much.

Got to play 9 holes at an outing at Cog Hill Dubsdread yesterday.  They used to play the Western Open there.  Beautiful and tough course with lots of sand traps.  Event was sponsored by a local microbrew, so had a couple beers before the round and a few after.

This begets the question: Was there any sand damage?
