The site has been very slow lately.  Since I've now lost 70 pounds, I needed to get a new suit - wedding today and another one next week in California.  Of course I bought a black suit - and today's wedding is outside at 4:00 and it's going to be 96 degrees - luckily the reception is indoors.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Find A Cat Day!

Yesterday afternoon I found a cat crying on the floor of our building. It's a long story but I took the high road and actually went out of my way to reunite the cat with her owner. I even picked the stupid thing up. When a cat gets lost on the ninth floor of a building, it presents problems.

Instead of wott I really wanted to do and introduce Kitty to a bathtub. Wink

Do you mean the number of people or how slow the site operates? If it's the latter I totally agree. Things don't load, I have to scroll down, takes forever to log in, etc.

Oh well, I hope you enjoyed the wedding.

I'm thinking about a Los Lobos & Little Feat concert tonight but it is outside and the weather is supposed to be suspect so I am on the fence. I haven't seen Little Feat in a coot's* age.

The current Feat group is in Omaha later this summer with Duane Betts playing with them. Maybe he's included tonight too? Los Lobos, Bobo's most favorite band. Sure do miss Bob.

Scott Sharrard (Gregg's guy) is with them. I don't know if he's the official guy or not. There's a good article in the current issue of Relix that talks about it to an extent.

The Los Lobos / Little Feat show last night was stellar !

Both bands joining each other during their respective sets to jam - was a real treat for sure - weather hampered the lawn towards the end, but in the pavillion we were dry and happy. The sound system is really nice at Ravinia.

If you get a chance GO and see either of these bands - both 50 + years and they are both very entertaining and wont be around forever.

Scott is a real nice fit for the band, seen several incarnations of the group, Scott is no slouch , he compliments everyone and does not come off too showboatie.

Saw a gray wolf at the timber line through a spotting scope while kickin' back on my back porch this morning.  I am at 4600 ft. elevation and was surprised they are down this low for the time of year. Maybe he smelled the bud and wanted a toke? LOL

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Pride Parade Weekend! coot - you still have time to get here. The parade isn't until Sunday. It ends slightly outside our building in Lincoln Park. You too can party with everyone. I hear tell there will be a mini Lilith Fair Reunion. Grinning

Nothing like close to one million people (seriously) coming to your neighborhood for a weekend. Shock

I got an email from The Big House. There's a link to click on for a show featuring Jaimoe. So I clicked on it and it is for a jigsaw puzzle of the Where it All Begins cover. Only $25. Plus shipping of course. Wink

Seen him play at Magic City Blues Festival (Billings, Mt.) about a decade ago. One of those, heard of, but never heard trips.  If ya go, hope ya have fun.

I am kicking myself. I forgot. When I got home I checked my computer and it popped up, but I didn't put it on my work calendar. My office downtown is walkable to the venue. ❗

Thanks though!

Back from California - great trip, except the sitting at the airport for 10 hours last Tuesday trying to get out.  Not a big fan of Southwest anymore.  Horrible communication during the almost 8 hour delay due to storms.  So, we missed a day in San Diego.

So, we did the gas lamp district a little when we finally got in.  I got to play Torrey Pines on Wednesday (just beautiful) and we ate in La Jolla.  Thursday we went to Balboa Park and visited a bunch of museums.  Friday we went to the San Diego Zoo, and then drove to Torrance.  Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning were all tied up with my niece's wedding.  Very fun wedding and reception.  We also visited Redondo Beach and Torrance Beach.  Sunday afternoon we spent at Laguna Beach and had a great meal looking out over the ocean.

Of course our flight out of Long Beach was also delayed - but only 1 hour.

Good news was even though I had more carbs and sugar than usual, I didn't gain any weight during the trip ...

My back tooth was hurting for a good part of the trip - called my dentist yesterday and got in right away - and he pulled my wisdom tooth that was hurting.  Nice not having anymore pain there ...

Hey guys ... sorry to be a stranger ... just back from a vacation in Wales ... internet there is driven by hamsters in wheels and I think the one in our village had died ...

Quite an eventful time ... Jan's car burst into flames the day before we left on vacation ... complete loss of power but thankfully she managed to slowly crash into a hedge and we both got out before it went up in a complete inferno ...

Then half way through our vacation, 20,000 bees decided to nest in the chimney of the property we were renting ... managed to seal the building so they couldn't get in to our rooms but it was still a worry ... needed a lot of rum to get to sleep Wink

Good to be home ...
