Had the kids and granddaughter over for Mother's Day - it was very nice.  Worked 5-1/2 hours at a food pantry Saturday - the post office picked up food at people's mailboxes and dropped it off at the food pantry.  Went to our favorite microbrew afterwards.  Played golf this morning - got done about an hour before the rain came.  Last week we had heavy hail - we have damage to our roof and a couple of holes in our siding.  At least 10 contractors have been at our door to "inspect the damage".

We've had a couple of massive hail storms in the last several years, one even in December! Had to replace our shingles and rain gutters after one of them. We have concrete siding so there was zero damage to that.

Nice weekend here with the exception of very hungry mosquitos, I think the byproduct of an unusually wet spring. Mosquitos suck!

Goooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol No Mosquitos Day around Lake Michigan Day!

Actually, ever. Smile I have lived here for 18 years and I only recall one time one of the critters was on my arm. My guess is that it can get too windy for them.

I played golf over the weekend. First time in a loooooooooooooong time. They still have that blasted windmill hole. The good thing is this course lets you wear shorts and drink.

The cart rental fee was a big egregious however.

That would be quite a feat, since I'm not 70 yet ...

More rain due later tonight and then tomorrow. Beginning to wonder the need for my underground sprinkler system, the ground squishes when you step on it. Surprised

Went to a concert Friday night at Park West in Chicago. It was pretty good; Jerry Garcia Band. I ran into moid for half a second and never saw him for the rest of the night.

Sang, after the show while I was waiting for a bus to take me home I had some time to kill so I went over to that park where you had your "disappearing" incident to look for him but he wasn't there. I actually took a couple of pictures of the place. I think they did some rehabbing because I didn't even see a bench. I did get called an a-hole for some reason. And the friend I went with was so messed up on 'shrooms it kind of ruined it for me.

18 jalapeno plants (I pickle them and put them up for the winter - nachos are a great snack), 2 poblano pepper plants, and 18 different tomato plants.

Bummed that the Neil Young and Crazy Horse show was postponed last Thursday night - a beautiful night for a show.  I bought resale tickets because my youngest son wanted to see them.  Hope they reschedule it.

What was the reason that they canceled?

Picture perfect day here again despite it virtually raining every day for the past week. May be time for a cigar on the back patio with some Gov't Mule accompaniment.

Cancelled due to illness - they cancelled at 5pm, and the show was supposed to start at 7:30 ...

Seems like I have to cut the grass every 3 days now with all the rain we have been getting.  Just heard from the insurance company - because they changed our deductible 2 weeks before the hail storm, they are only paying about half of what it will cost to replace our roof and gutters.

That really sucks Mike. 🙁

Didn't you have to approve a change like that? Seems unethical if they can unilaterally change it on their own.

I was bummed as I was going to the Neil Young show as well. I think you are being generous on the time difference. I think it was more like 1.5 hours. I still haven't seen a makeup date announced. Hopefully Nils will be one of the guitar players if/when they reschedule but he wasn't going to play that night anyway. I guess he was probably in Europe with Springsteen. Nils is my favorite guitar player in both bands.
