CNN version.  Somebody tell the writer that there is a difference between a guitar and a bass!  😉

https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/16/style/paul-mccartney-reunited-stolen-guitar-intl-scli/index.html

Now, if WHOEVER stole my kazoo right about the same time would just come forward ...

Enough out of you Rusty! Wink Actually, I think I saw that segment (or something similar) on TV and I believe they mentioned bass and guitar. Nice story though. It isn't the first time something like that pops up.

Took a trip up to Meeechigan today to stop at a dispensary and to see a friend who just had surgery.  Stopped at Greenbush Brewery in Sawyer, MI for a late lunch.

Is pot legal in Meeechigan? I have no idea. I hope your friend is going to be okay. Smile

Yes it is - and it is MUCH cheaper.  16% tax vs. 30% in Illinois, plus the products are about 20% of the cost in Illinois.  Plus, for our third time going we got 30% off.

My buddy is doing well - he is like the bionic man - he has had numerous surgeries over the years, but he keeps on ticking ...

There was Football over here ... Oh, sorry, you guys call it Soccer ... anyway, my team won 4-1 and it was a very good game ... even Lee would have liked it (as long as I bought him enough beers!) Sweaty

Happy Spring Day! It should not be 60 degrees here in February. While I enjoy it, I am kind of scared about that.

65 here again today with another similar day tomorrow. Then a couple in the mid 50's and then gradually upward even reaching 70 next week. Winter pretty much over. Not too long ago the actual temperature was -20. Formal Smile

Quickly approaching time for a cigar on the back patio this afternoon accompanied by some Whistlepig rye. Hope the neighbors enjoy the Tinsley Ellis live show that will be audible..... Cool

Played my first outdoor round today - it wasn't pretty, but February rounds rarely are.  It was 63 degrees, but very windy.  Very windy and golf don't really mix ...

Yeah, it is nuts. Messes with the vegetation. The plants get confused and start growing and blooming before they are supposed to. I think the corn is already starting on the south side of Chicago.

Lee, got a bit of a musical education today, got in some new cds including Waylon Jennings's Honky Tonk Heroes a sort of landmark "Country Outlaws" release. I knew that 11 0f the 12 songs were written by Billy Joe Shaver who wrote several songs the ABB covered "Sweet Mama" and "Georgia On A Fast Train." There was a song "Omaha" on the release which turns out to be a song Chris Robinson & New Earth Mud covered one of the two nights you, me, Sandman and Matt Almand attended back in 2004 at Red Rocks. The "meat on a stick" that either you or Matt bought at the venue one of the nights. Never before realized that that Shaver wrote that one too.

Busy day yesterday - indoor golf, eye appointment, and the charity comedy show.  Volunteered at the food bank this morning, unloading pallets of food from the big food depository.  I never nap, but I may need one ...

Had them both done, then cleanup by laser about 2 years after each surgery - they say that only needs to be done once.  Recovery wasn't bad either time, and  now I'm the one in the group that can actually follow a golf ball ...
