Finally above 20 degrees today! Feels like a hundred.
Right back down to -17 Saturday morning....
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

My car still won't start, and one of the windows in my office cracked from the cold. Supposed to be in the 30's starting Monday - heatwave!

Back to winter here. More snow and brutally cold. Yesterday was actually "balmy".
Why don't we all move somewhere else?

Bought a battery charger and got my car running - went to the dealer and got a new battery today - only $390!
Had about 3 more inches of snow this morning - luckily not wet and heavy like the last one.

Most of the snow in the back yard is gone - some big piles still hanging around in the front. Supposed to be 50 next week ...
Going to see a comedian tonight - Charlie Berens - think he is from Wisconsin and does Midwest jokes - haven't seen him before, and we have tickets for the 9:30 show.
Tomorrow is the 9th anniversary for my favorite craft beer store/bar ... I plan on stopping by for awhile ...

Weather finally turning around, 40 today and then a stretch of 5/6 days in the 50's. Hopefully the snow will just be a memory after that.
Midwest jokes? Impossible!

I know you're on the Lions side today Lee, from a purely betting perspective Balt -4 & SF -7 where do you fall? I took the Ravens earlier this week at a better number and am leaning Detroit +7 but haven't put anything down yet. A couple of player props I'm looking at too.

I like both 'dogs. The Lions more than The Chefs.

Well, sir, you are in the minority in these parts as you probably know. Carin saw this graphic that was pretty funny. It was a map of The U.S. And it had colors of who was red and blue (like a political one) and who they were rooting for. Other than California everyone was blue for Detroit.
Oh, except Illinois and Wisconsin. Typical. I would have rooted for Chicago or Green Bay in the same situation.

Nah, WI was rooting for the Lions. Packers fans have nothing against the Lions.

Lee as a big Lions fan I'm curious what you thought about them not at least trying one or both field goal opportunities in the second half? I found it puzzling to say the least. They certainly had a memorable season, went a lot further than I thought they would.

Sunny and 60 here today, take as many of those days as I can get before spring gets here.

When they had the chance to go up by 17 I wanted them to try a field goal. Then you have a three-score lead. There were bigger issues at play. They stopped running the ball in the second half. San Fran has proven they can't stop the run. Calling two flea flickers? Those plays turned out horribly. Lions defense couldn't stop anything in the second half.
It was a sad evening.
