For those who have never had one, they can be traumatic. In my case, they stick you on basically a gurney into a tube and take pictures. The camera moves around and around. And then repeats itself. Then again, etc. It makes this God-awful noise. And this goes on for TWO hours. I think they will pipe music in if you ask. If you are claustrophobic I imagine they are really bad.
But they don't hurt!

I've had one but it was only thigh to toes so I wasn't entirely enclosed. I think they refer to it as an open MRI. You still have to lay still for far too long.

Yes, I had an open one for my knee once. I bought a new computer, it is going to take forever to copy stuff over and get all my apps working. I have been cleaning stuff from my old computer, not to waste time copying stuff I don't need. I found some interesting pictures, including a pre-party from Harry Carey's with some shady looking characters ...

The MRI process has improved. I was only in the tube for a half hour. The camera doesn't go all around and they don't move the gurney back and forth. The machine is still HORRIBLY loud.
I had an itch on my nose and I didn't dare scratch it since you can't move.

That's like the one I had a few years ago ... they asked me to choose a music genre to listen to while it was done, so I chose "blues" ... they actually had some good stuff on the loop - Muddy Waters etc ... but you could hardly hear it over the noise of the machine!
Our unseasonably warm weather continues, lots of days in the 50's. Every day gets closer to spring.

Been like that here but the defecation is about to hit the ventilation. Anywhere from 3-12" of snow the next couple of days with 40 mph winds. Good thing we've already gotten the Christmas get togethers done and we have no reason to go out into anything until everything passes.
