Cut the grass, mostly to chew up the leaves.  Then spent 2 hours vacuuming leaves - and I am beat!    At least I can throw the leaves into my garden to protect the ground in the winter ...

I highly recommend burning them. It smells good and 0 out of 10 environmentalists say it is good for the atmosphere. Ingesting the smoke is also good for respiratory problems.

Actually, if you leave the grass long and let the leaves rot and break down over the winter, they feed the worms, enrich the soil and make the lawn better next year ... should have sat on the porch with a beer and watched nature do its thing instead, Mike!

Actually the experts here want you to cut the grass shorter in the winter when it is dormant.  The leaves in the yard were chopped up by the mower.  I used the vacuum, which also chops them up on the leaves that were in the rocks along the house and in the plants near the fence.   I threw them in the garden to protect the ground during the winter.  They will get rototilled into the ground in the spring.

Covid just went through one of my kid's family. Hoping they're well enough for the holiday, pretty iffy right now.

Goooooooooooooood 'ol Avoid Going to In-Law Weddings Day!

Today's title is brought to you by me not getting invited to a wedding tonight although THB is going. This caused an uproar with my sister-in-law whose daughter is the one who didn't invite me (the bride). The sister-in-law almost begged me to go anyway.

Moral of the story: Avoid inlaws at all costs. Razz

I'd rather watch college football all day anyway.

Sorry you guys are dealing with COVID. I thought we were done with it. Kidding. A couple of weeks ago I got my sixth, yes SIXTH shot. The first five didn't bother me at all. This one hit me really hard. Throwing up and everything. I'll go the Aaron Rodgers route and say I was immunized from now on. Wink

I've had all of them too, the first and subsequent ones were Pfizer, shoulder soreness. This last one was Moderna. Felt like I'd been hit by a truck and backed over several times. Lasted right at a day. Worth it to me.

I see a bottle of 1926 Macallan scotch just sold at auction for $2.7 million. I wonder how soon Colin will fly us over to help down it?

Same thing happened to me. All were Pfizer. The one that almost killed me was Moderna. I told the pharmacist that wasn't wott I had before. He told me it doesn't matter. They don't bother to sign those vaccination cards anymore either.

@sang

Gosh, that was a tough way to lose a game. KC could (or maybe should) have won. Kinda like a certain Bears game I watched on Sunday. Razz

If that doesn't get you a new coach, I don't know wott will. The Bears seriously make me laugh.

They should rename the Chiefs wide "receivers" Roberto Duran, "Hands of Stone."

If I had that much spare cash to buy a bottle of Scotch I would indeed fly you over ... and via Cuba so you could pick up some cheroots along they way ...

Cool

You could send Sang to the West Indies on his way to England to pick up some rum for you. And he is also a Gramps so you two would have something to talk about!

The 1-year olds could coach the Bears better than Ebelflus. How the hell do you blow a game in four minutes? As much as he smiles and tries to put a positive spin on things, sheesh...
