Well, I'm in on both counts ... cooked a Lancashire Hot Pot today and am happily washing it down with a fine bottle of Woodforde's Albion Cream Stout ... consider me well and truly out of the woodwork ...

ABBsolutely fABBulous gig by the Mule last night at the London Palladium ... this was their first gig over here since pre-covid and they treated us to a real anthology two and a half hour show with lots of old school Mule and just three songs from the latest album ... a truly great night out for me as I finally caught up with concert buddies whom I hadn't seen since that last Mule gig in 2019 ...

The encore of "Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City" was a tribute to Warren's friend Bernie Marsden (RIP) who always used to sit in with the band when they came to London.

Happy Thursgay Evening! Going to watch a scintillating matchup between two terrible NFL teams. Wonder wott it is like to root for da Bears? Anyone know? AND, if you live in Chicago you can watch two hours of pre-game.

Shocking. I remember the ABB show I went to in 2006 where they played Soulshine AND Rockin' Horse back-to-back. I had suffered both songs in one night, but not consecutively. That was a doozie!

High school football antidote. Because of the small population base in many rural cities here there are a lot of eight man football teams and even some six man. State semifinals yesterday a six man team had to travel to Lincoln for their contest. 400 miles one way without leaving the state. They won so for the state championship game they'll have another 800 mile round trip to Lincoln again and then back.

Cut the grass, mostly to chew up the leaves. Then spent 2 hours vacuuming leaves - and I am beat! At least I can throw the leaves into my garden to protect the ground in the winter ...
