Freeze warning tonight, cleared out the garden produce this morning. Sweaty

You complain about it being too hot, now it is too cold. I suggest a prompt move to Orland Park, IL where the climate is moderate and everyone knows your name. Smile

Watching the Illinois - Kneebraska game, which proves how boring my life must be ...

It was a battle of which team could out worse the other. Illinois prevailed.

I no longer live near London ... moved back to my home county of Norfolk when I retired 10 years ago ... in any case, I don't really enjoy live US Football all that much as there are too many time-outs ... I prefer to watch the highlights show on TV

I will be going down to London in four weeks time however, to see Gov't Mule ... their first show over here since pre-covid in 2019 ... really looking forward to that !!!

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol International Beer & Pizza Day!

I guess a lighter pizza like veggie or just cheese(wott's the point in that?) go well with a light pale ale or a pilsner while a meatier pie goes more along the lines of a stout or porter. Maybe Guinness. Makes sense to me. Grin

@harvey

If you want to compare football vs. futbol, you are totally correct.

Regarding Mule, are they doing Dark Side of the Mule in England?

Probably not the best idea! Sweaty

Don't think so ... I think it is a standard Mule show in support of their latest album

They normally have someone sit in with them for a couple of songs ... in the past this has often been Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake) who lived locally but sadly he passed away recently ...

Planted seed in the front and back yards over the last couple of days.  Played my worst round of golf today ... and playing in a Senior Scramble tomorrow.

Hey Marco -

I'd love to but St. Charlie's is a long walk from Chicago. Wink

Gooooooooooooooooood 'ol National Transfer Money to a Son Day!

Looking for a sneaky excuse to help out that son without him arguing that he doesn’t want it? Perhaps today would be the ideal time to be able to raise those hands in resignation and simply say, “But it’s National Transfer Money to Your Son Day! What else could I do?”

I'm sure Papa coot will certainly agree! I could also use some of his BEST shows thrown in as well!

p.s. I won't argue about not wanting it!

Happy dreary, rainy Saturday football afternoon. Good day to put a pot of chili. No Nebraska today but Illinoiz has a chance to lose. Meechigan rolled.

Another great day to stay hunkered in and watch football. About 14 hours worth by my calculations if you can handle it. Trying to decide wott tunes to put on if the announcers stink.

Went to Central Illinois to see my dad and play in a golf charity scramble.  They had 2 teams on each hole, and it took 7 hours to play - which is really slow.  It was cold, and it drizzled a little a couple of times during the round.  We ended up getting a longest putt and got 2nd place in the B flight - so we made back what we paid to enter, plus we got a nice dinner.

Back home now watching Da Bears ....

Chilly morning but warming up pleasantly the rest of the week. May have to work a cigar on the patio into my itinerary.

Is it possible to be too lazy to slack off? Discuss!

Ply her with a couple of glasses of hooch and encourage her to relate a few embarrassing stories of thb in her youth ... that should curtail her future invitations to visit ... Wink
