Just back from 2 1/2 weeks camping in the Rockies. I was traveling along rocky mountain way but never caught sight of Joe.

Literally the only time I bought Slurpees was years ago when they had individual MLB players action coins along with a purchase. I think I poured most of them out, the only attraction was the collectible coin. You never knew which one that you'd get. A few of them I've used as card protectors whilst playing No Limit poker at casinos, although that stopped with the pandemic.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Do Not Have a Conversation With Another Man Whilst Peeing Day!
Today is sponsored by the Chicago Cubs. I'm going to the game tonight at Wrigley and I don't understand why guys do that there. Well it is Wrigley and I hear tell that they sell beer.

I think I recall those. Weren't they under the actual slushie in a separate compartment? I have a couple of George Brett ones. The cups themselves are actually kind of collectible themselves if you can find one.

Yes, that's right, they were in the bottom of the cups with a cover over them. You couldn't see which player you were going to get.

There were plenty of candidates.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Off to Central Illinois to visit my dad and see my old college roommate who is in from California ...

Had a Bourbon County Stout on the back patio this afternoon along with a stogie. Had Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" playing including "Have A Cigar." Seemed to make sense.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Sunday Funday! Meeting friends for brunch at a sports bar. While not a big tennis fan, the men's Wimbledon final will be on so I will watch that. Then it's probably a baseball watching afternoon.
THB is going to her nephew's wedding shower. It's a couples thing but I am not going. Heck with that. I took some flak from their family but I am going to the wedding in September. Isn't that enough?

I don't have that album but I looked it up and there are only five songs on it! When I went to the One For Woody show in August of 2000 I think it was in NYC Mule closed out the end of a very long evening and they played "Wish You Were Here" toward the end of their set and they played that. It was an obvious reference to Woody passing. I read that it may have been about Syd Barrett and his health. I noticed some girls crying.

I believe the basis for "Dark Side of The Moon" was all about Syd's mental collapse.

If he's a college roommate of yours we assumed the old part.....

Still resting up from my vacation.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Ditto

Just curious: Why would you need to rest after going on vacation?

Because my wife went with me

Back from my golf trip to Grand Rapids - had a great time and also got to go to Founder's Brewery for dinner Monday night. A couple of glasses of KBS may have been consumed ...

Gooooooooooooooooooood 'ol National Moon Day! Where is page 86 guy when you need him?

Greetings! Beautiful day here today, high around 80. Will be similar tomorrow and then there's a week stretch of mid to upper 90's. No thanks.

And happy weekend to all! Was supposed to head north to Evanston today, home of Northwestern (wott a mess that is!). But that was cancelled so I get the afternoon to myself. Gonna put baseball on the boob tube as my grandpa call it and crank up some tunes. I'm thinking early Cream. I have two killer Detroit shows from 1967 & 1968.

Happy weekend guys ... raining here all day so watching ladies soccer world cup match followed by the Open golf tournament ... marginally better than watching paint dry
