I would take the Lions to have a better record than the Bears next year!
Â
Hence the wording bought down to. I bought a point each on those two games to get under -7 and -3.
Â
I never bought a full point because it cost a lot. I would do 1/2 to take lines down from 7 1/2 or 3 1/2 to where I wouldn't (presumably) lose. So at least I could get a push. The other thing is that when I would do that, it inevitably wouldn't matter so I just stopped doing it. I never touched the O/U but it is fun to see how those sometimes play out. The Dallas game you mentioned as a perfect example. I felt terrible for that guy. Watched most of the game and I couldn't believe it.Â
You did have a great weekend!
Â
Yes, thanks! I'd like a similar repeat this week too! Â

Just saw that Jason Isbell is playing Joliet in March ... one of the few shows my wife will see with me ...

I see Lee avoided picking any games right this weekend ... I just have to get one more right ... or make the same pick as he does to wrap up second place ... Â

Gee I don't think you are that bad to see a show with. Â

Yes, I try to be consistent.

Wow, I just returned home to find we are reaching a new level of lazy assedness.
I have had a busy day. Went to physical therapy, went downtown (bus broke down so I had to walk part of the way home 😩) then another appointment.Â

In the midst of a two week cold spell but then again it is winter. Overnight low Sunday forecast for -5.

Got about 3 inches of snow so far. Going to meet our financial adviser at 1 for lunch at a microbrew ...Â

Happy Weirdo Wednesday. Didn't have to leave the house today. The TV weather people made us believe the world was coming to an end. I think we got maybe a couple of inches of snow. The TV did go out for a bit. They act like we have never lived through a Chicago winter.

Invest in Enron. Or Bernie Madoff. Both are fine choices.

I was thinking of dumping it all into cryptocurrency - seems safe ... Â

Another fine investment. Fool's gold and Confederate currency are also good bets.

I've seen some ads for FTX as a crypto firm you might want to look into that....

Overcast and chill continue. Now up to three consecutive mornings ahead with lows below zero.

I suggest not going out when the lows are below zero.
Went out for a while today and I guess I had forgotten how mild our winter has been. And next week is going to get even worse. Over Xmas the heat went out in the building. That sucked but I stayed inside so I was okay.

Got tickets to see Jason Isbell in Joliet ... Â

Happy Football Friday! 😀Â

Pretty nice day today and then the cold sets in big time. Sunday will be a great day to be indoors watching the games.

Enjoy your weekend, guys ... Like you, I will be drinking beer and watching football (you know, that game that people play with their "feet") Â

I was trying to figure out your "logic", as in, wott would you pick and go the other way. This is a fruitless endeavor but I gave it a shot.Â
I was hoping you picked the Bears. Â

Cold front made it here in a big way, wind chills of -30 throughout today. I don't think I'll let the dog take me for a walk.... Â
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

I don't think logic plays into it at all ... nebish won by picking mostly underdogs this year ,,,,

If logic doesn't play into it I think you have a shot. Â
Â
I noticed all year how underdogs came in a lot in the NFL. It is tough to cover a spread. The unders came in all the time too.
A long time friend told me to always take home underdogs. Don't think about it, just do it. So one year I did it. I won about 2 grand basically just doing that.

Goooooooooooooooood 'ol Curmudgeons Day! I think this is dedicated to coot for someone being on his lawn. Although I think if he loses money on football today it will be because of that. 😉Â
