Oh and goooooooooooooooooood 'ol long day evening.
Travel today was interesting. There were all of four people on the bus this morning. Normally probably 60, 75. Pre COVID standing room only.

They'd run right into a major snowstorm. Cutting short a trip to celebrate a birthday to get home before it hits later tonight. 5-10" with maybe freezing drizzle preceding it. Yikes!

Yikes is right. I HATED driving in the winter. Scared the crap out of me. A benefit of living in Chicago. We don't have to worry about it. We kind of leave that to public transit.

Excellent! You'll have to let me know what you think as you go through 'em. Do you think you saw most/all? Hope that they bring back some good memories for you!

So now I want you to put a shipping trace on that Bourbon County Stout you "supposedly" sent me!!!!
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Got back this afternoon got some errands out of the way, time to hunker down, now predicting 10-15" with blowing and drifting. It's good to be retired there's nowhere I need to be for the next several days.

Only talking rain here ....
I will definitely let you know - and Thanks again!

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol National Michigan Day!

Colin can opt out of this.

National Michigan Day????
Isn't Indiana's state motto "At Least We're Not Michigan"?
Let's ask Woods!
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

They give tickets in Indiana. Remember, they are watching you! They actually warn you when you drive from Meeechigan into Indiana.
I guess Woods didn't get the memo.

Just who is this Mitch Egan? ... never heard of him ...

Snowing so hard here and winds gusting to 40 mph, visibility so low the city and county have pulled the snow plows off of the roads until it's over early tomorrow morning. Good night for a fire and some favorite tunes. Good deal I have no need to go anywhere for a couple of days. First major storm we've had in years.

Actually went to Michigan today - dispensaries are much cheaper than Illinois - also picked up a few Michigan wines while we were there. Met a golf buddy and his wife for lunch at a brewpub. Very good day.

Did going to Meeechigan cleanse the soul?

Sang -
I don't know if you ever enter drawings for concerts on WXRT or The Drive but XRT is giving away tix for Tedeschi Trucks. They are playing four nights at The Chicago Theatre, two Fridays and two Saturdays. I put my name in the hat for a pair and figured we could go if we get lucky.
I've entered before and won so it can't hurt. You just show your ID at the box office. A handful of years ago I saw TTB and Leon Russell opened. They offered me two options: An evening with or with Leon. I wanted to see him again. They were front row.

Uh, no.

Have already bet a few things for this weekend, took over 51 1/2 on KC/Jax, bought Frisco down to -2 1/2 and bought Philly to -6 1/2. I'd like Cincy plus the points but all those O Line injuries concern me. Depending on the number I may look at Kelce over receptions.

Not to turn this into a betting discussion but from wott I see you bought those down a bit.
I would take the Lions to have a better record than the Bears next year!

I do enter XRT drawings - won one once and saw the Drive By Truckers at Reggies. I'll see if I can enter too ...

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Football Friday!
I see some of you must be preparing already.

I have won tickets a few times and they always notified me a day or two before the show. That's fine if you don't really care if you go or not, but twice I already bought tickets so I had extras.
But the ones they gave me were better than what I paid for. They were primo. Maybe they were tickets held back and would have been wasted. No idea how that works.

Hence the wording bought down to. I bought a point each on those two games to get under -7 and -3.

Good frosty morning! Plows have been around so I can actually see the street out front again.
Supposedly our official total was 13 1/2". I would categorize it as "a lot!"

I never bought a full point because it cost a lot. I would do 1/2 to take lines down from 7 1/2 or 3 1/2 to where I wouldn't (presumably) lose. So at least I could get a push. The other thing is that when I would do that, it inevitably wouldn't matter so I just stopped doing it. I never touched the O/U but it is fun to see how those sometimes play out. The Dallas game you mentioned as a perfect example. I felt terrible for that guy. Watched most of the game and I couldn't believe it.
You did have a great weekend!
