My daughter's car has been at a Midas for over 3 weeks, so she has my wife's car.  Real pain with only 1 car.   It is supposed to be ready today, but they have been saying that for a week.  It's almost too late right now for us to go get it, even if it is done.

You should all move to the city. No cars necessary. Just avoid the red line. That is scary. Really scary.

In kind of a dilemma was just getting used to writing 2022 on checks.... Wink

In all seriousness, why on earth do you write checks? I think I write two a year and only because I have to. Seriously, why?

Only when I have to like my lawn service, one man business, doesn't take credit cards, sends a bill in the mail.

Send the bill to Sang. He likes to mow lawns.

59 degrees here today - no snow left on the ground - looks to be above freezing the next couple of weeks.

Played indoor golf today - did pretty well.

Believe it or not that is a tradition in downtown Chicago. But you better open your wallet. It's a fundraiser.

Going to the Art Institute today followed by lunch at Russian Tea Time. It is kind of like the Russian Tea Room in New York I guess. While not as expensive as the New York version it is still pricy. They have six beers on the menu, all foreign from Europe. I want to try all six but I am not sure I will get through it. I have a feeling some of them will taste like you know what.

Looking forward to the day even though it is with THB. Laugh

Got a covering of snow late yesterday afternoon/evening. Very heavy wet stuff, turned to ice overnight. Supposed to be 45 this afternoon that should handle it!

I'm not sure you'll get through it either ... 6 beers from Europe will be way too much to handle for a Bud Light man ... Wink

@harvey

If I ever drank a Bud Light, trust me I would never drink a "beer" again. Sweaty

This is what I had, three of them actually. Very good stuff. Carlsberg makes it.

My daughter's car has been at Midas for 4 weeks.  She has been using my wife's car.  Yesterday they called and said they had it fixed.  If not, they were going to give her a loaner.  We drove to Naperville to pick up the car, then went out to eat.  She drove her car home, and 1 mile from being home the check engine light came on again.  $2800 and it's not fixed.  Hopefully she will get a loaner, it has been a pain only having one car.

Can't believe they'd tie up usage of a vehicle for that long without prior offering a loaner, not very customer friendly. That Midas definitely doesn't have the golden touch.

Had some thunder snow during the night. Had experienced it before but that's still an odd phenomenon. I Dont Know

Had to run an errand earlier the roads were somewhat slick but not bad if everyone is driving sensibly.

Wow, I can't even think of anything "funny" to say about that. I would be really, really pissed.

Hey Sang, I don't like driving my car through icy slush and snowy streets. Could I borrow one of your cars for maybe a month? 🙂

It's a stationary bike but if you pedal hard enough it might get you somewhere.
