Played golf at Harborside International today - tough course - especially with the wind.

Busy day today - typing on my new Chromebook.  Last one fell off the ottoman and the charging port wouldn't work anymore.  Got a real nice one for $150 at Target this morning.  Also went and got $100 (2 dozen golf balls and a hat) from the private golf course I played Monday - won $100 gift card from their pro shop for a "straightest drive" contest.   I have a computer upstairs, but the Chromebook is by my comfy chair and what I use to read the paper (I get the Tribune digitally).

Ask to be walked by Rover next time. I understand he is nicer. Smile

Happy Thursday evening. THB is going out with a bunch of cackling hens for a girls night out so she has left me to my own devices. Gonna watch football and listen to Pink Floyd. 😀

I heard the English shot is different. One of the side effects is you can have an aversion to soccer. 😎 😎

Haha ... thankfully not ... but I do actually feel a bit out of sorts today so it will be a couch potato soccer weekend for me

Apparently not all that hard to do. There's something to be said for being a passionate fan of anything, then there's the nonsense of you're not even a true fan of the ABB if you don't completely agree with me. Pretty silly.

Yep ... Moderna omicron and other variants combined ... and a flu shot in the other arm for good measure

Good to get the coverage! Flu shot too? No wonder you feel a bit zapped today!

Happy Friday! The only thing on my schedule is lying on the couch watching football. Not soccer. 😉

If my calculations are correct I can watch college tomorrow for 13 hours. Sunday is even better. Since there is a game in England, 14 hours!

Colin - Get to London for an American game!

Had Maxillary Sinus Surgery the other day for my tooth. They go up into the nasal cavity. Hurt for a couple of days but isn't too bad now. The worst part is you can't blow your nose. They were adamant about that. I guess it could break the thing open. 😮 😮

Whoulda thought a tooth would affect the nose but I suppose they are kinda close together.

I like American football Lee but find it too long to watch a whole game live ... except for superbowl that is ... although that tends to start at midnight over here so I often end up nodding off during the game

Starts a lot earlier here of course and I nod off as well.

Would this game be in Wembley?

No, the match is at the stadium of Tottenham Hotspur FC (Spurs) ... it is in North East London and has 60,000 capacity ... Wembley, the national teams 100,000 capacity stadium, is in west London

Pretty dumb according to the guy who won't even admit who he is. What was his previous logon name? Bwacky? As to me, although I started attending ABB shows in 1972, I'm not an actual fan because.... blah blah blah

Saw where Roger Welsch a really interesting humorist/activist from Dannebrog Nebraska passed today. For years he was featured on "Sunday Morning" on CBS with Charles Kuralt, "Postcards From Nebraska." Held an international liars club event there, first two winners were "I once met an honest fisherman" and "I once saw a lawyer with his hands in his own pockets." Actually had some family owned land for decades that he found out the Pawnee held as sacred so he willed it back to them. Interesting dude.

I think we all agree anyone from Nebraska is pretty darn interesting!

Well, right after I posted my soliloquy about today my buddy threw a wrench into things. His boss gave him his rooftop tickets at Wrigley. free food, open bar I guess. The whole works. I really wanted to watch the Meeechigan/Iowa game but maybe it will be on a TV in the inside of the place. And I figured it wouldn't hurt to mix up my schedule a bit.

Side bonus: I don't have to go to an Apple Fest with THB! Sweaty

(She wasn't gonna let me lay on the couch for that many hours anyway).

Beautiful afternoon, cigar on the back patio, The Balvenie Doublewood consumed, may still need a cold wheat beer. Wink
