Went to a fun wedding yesterday.  Getting ready to watch da Bears. Cut the grass earlier, supposed to storm tonight.
Getting excited about seeing Porcupine Tree Tuesday night at the Auditorium ...

Hurry Lee - the final Mule song on the free Telluride Fest is Soulshine!

We got some thunder and lightning, but not much rain. We could use some.

I feel sorry for you on two counts. And cutting the grass isn't one of them. 😋

Mule closed out the Telluride Blues and Brews fest, and they had a free livestream of it last night. Didn't want you to miss your favorite song. Our buddy Billy Eddins was there ...

Had a really nice weekend even with Iowans involved! Â
Good to catch up with Chad, it had been way too long.

Played golf and shot well this morning. Soon off to downtown for Porcupine Tree ...Â

Porcupine Tree was amazing. Auditorium is such a great place to see a show. As I was walking out, I ran into this tall guy - I said 'Are you IP' - and it was! Not sure if we actually met before ... but it was funny seeing him there. He also commented on wott a great show it was ...
They played for 3 hours (with a 20 minute break). I parked 2 blocks away using the Parkwhiz app - cost me $10. My brother parked in the same lot without the app - $41. Started at 7:30, finished around 10:30, home by 11:35 (took a while to get out of the garage). Good thing the Sox game was still going on, or there would have been more traffic.

This thread is named appropriately ... slackers!Â

Did Freely have an update on his going ons?
Finally cooling off here just in time to greet Fall. Getting some rain too!
Been listening to some early Fleetwood lately. Â

It was really crowded getting out of the Auditorium. I pretty much gave you our entire conversation - we were going opposite ways in the crowd ... I said 'are you IP'. He said yes - told him I was Sang. He said we saw a great show, and I agreed. Wish we would have had more time ...Â

Good to see Colin check in ... in between drinks ...Â

I've cleared my "busy" schedule this afternoon for a nice cigar and a Franklin Street Brewing stout or two which a certain Iowan brought with him last weekend. Â
Had a routine doctor's appointment this morning, declared I'm in perfect health. Maybe I should recheck that guy's credentials! Â

Happy Friday! Hitting an Oktoberfest tomorrow. This looks like fun. Hopefully it won't be too terribly crowded as street festivals tend to be here.

Was this The Auditorium Theater south of the loop (or maybe IN the south loop if you will)?
If so I saw Widespread there two nights in a row a handful of years ago. That place is beautiful. Can't believe I lasted two nights of listening to John Bell sing! Â

Yes - south loop. Went back to see who I have seen there - quite a list, most in the distant past, but saw Gilmour there on his last tour. Others include: Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck/Jean Luc Ponty, Todd Rundgren and Utopia (twice), McLaughlin/Dimeola/LeLucia, Asia, Return to Forever, Laurie Anderson, Van Morrison, Frank Zappa. Also saw Jim Stafford with the Smothers Brothers and Joan Rivers there, if I remember correctly.

Culture Club dissed the venue?

Good weekend morning ...Â

Beautiful day here, went to a neighbor's kid's soccer game. I thought there'd be beer!

Playing in a charity outing tomorrow at a private club - golf and a steak dinner - always fun ...Â

Good Evening. A week full of 75 and sun. Remembering why I like fall a lot.

Beautiful morning today, luckily the dog took me for a walk. Â
