Going to central Illinois today for my best friend in high school's 70th birthday party - how did my classmates get so old? 😀

Posted by: @oldcootPosted by: @abbcujoSeems next year I will be using the most of my 7 weeks time off from Siemens.... A week in Key West, 2 week trip to Europe via cruise (Iceland, Norway, Scotland, and England). Also going to see the mouse in FL I stole those fuzzy slippers from a long time ago.
Sounds like some great trips!
If those fuzzy slippers still exist they'd probably qualify as an EPA Superfund cleanup site!

Yes they still exist! If the ABB Museum would like me to donate it to them, I most certainly would.
Hope you fellas had a good weekend. I got to take a trash panda (raccoon) for a ride to be rehabbed after losing it's family.

Kneeebraska says they are going broke - hope oldcoot's nursing home doesn't close ...

hello freakers

I just noticed that I only have 85 posts.

It must have been good since apparently you saw them twice.

Looks like the security around here has been kinda lax - but nice to see fast43 around here again ...

Posted by: @sangTaking my youngest son to see Neil Young tomorrow - had tickets last year and they cancelled the day of the show.
Which lineup is he currently playing with? I think the one time I saw Neil was at Farm Aid III.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Are you guys getting there early? I haven't seen Neil in years and I might head downtown early.

He's with The Chrome Hearts, whoever they are. Last year he was with Crazy Horse, but they cancelled as Sang said.

How was the show?

Show was great - he still sounds the same. Played 2 hours worth of great songs. Good seeing Lee there for awhile before the show - also saw TopDroog - he had seats near me. I just had a great time, and my son enjoyed it too.

The Chrome Hearts were great. Micah Nelson was very talented - played a lot of different instruments. Spooner Oldham played keyboards - even though he had a broken pelvis. The drummer was great and so was the bass player. Neil sounded great, told a few stories. I think there are videos of the tour on YouTube - you should check them out.

The first band was hands down, the worst thing I have ever seen heard at a concert. Way too political. At one point, the singer dropped his drawers, turned around and told the crowd the guy in The White House could kiss his ass. They had this southern-gospel revival thing going.
Sang was right about Neil. They rocked. After the first song, which I didn't know, they did Cowgirl in the Sand, Be the Rain (from Greendale), Southern Man & Ohio consecutively. Harvest Moon was nice later. I love that album. Like a Hurricane was great. I had to leave after that to catch a bus. Missed the encore.
Other than the overall political bent to the whole thing, it was fun. That was a downer to me.
