Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol "National Upsy Daisy Day"! i.e., Make the best of the situation. That means I have to go to my sister-in-law's house today.
However, weather permitting (it is supposed to rain), I am going to Bluesfest later.

Good Morning. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mother Nature was in a bad mood yesterday afternoon. We had a cookout that turned into a "cook in" because of the rain. The weather people were right. It rained a lot late, so I didn't go to Bluefest.

We only had a little bit - delayed the party at a splash pad for about 1/2 an hour. We could use some more - heard up north got quite a bit more - including hail.

Bluesfest was evacuated because of the storms. I don't even know what all got cancelled or pushed back.

Goooooooooooooooooood 'ol International Yard Bombing Day! And no, this has nothing to do with eco-terrorism.

Summer letting us know it's on the way, 97 today and muggy. No thanks. Think I'll "cool" down listening to some Miles with Coltrane along for the ride.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Work From Home Day! There is a big protest planned just outside of our building at 4:00 PM today, so building management advised everyone not to be in the building. There are probably over 1,000 people who work there. It's a government building. They did this Tuesday as well, but I was able to get out of Dodge and get home. I don't know why people feel the need to disrupt the lives of others to try to prove a point.

Played golf 3 times this week. Going Saturday to Central Illinois to see my 96 year old dad for Father's Day, then driving back for my brother-in-law's 75th birthday party Saturday night. Hoping to play 3 times next week ...

I hate to call anyone out but coot seems to be a lazy ass lately.

Uh oh. Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Beer Britain Day!
Harvey gets today off from here.
Oh, and Happy Father's Day!

I would have ordered some but IMO it's ridiculously priced at $65 (plus shipping) for that small of a bottle. I'll just continue to enjoy Buffalo Trace, Traveler's, Four Roses and Angel's Envy. Bottom's up!
Nice of your brother to treat you to it though.

He didn't treat me, but he got it from someone in Tennessee for $50 - still pricey, but can't wait to try it ...

Interesting, I seem to recall that the merch text from TTB last fall was asking $65/bottle. It was the second year that it was offered. The text, and I think label, didn't offer any indication where/who distilled it either. It was a limited number of bottles I don't remember the actual amount. Pricing it to a standard 750ml bottle, it's roughly the equivalent of $200. The second batch was 122.5 proof, first go around was 100 proof. Do you know, is yours the first or second?
(Edit: enlarged your photo and saw it was the 100 proof original bottle)

Goooooooooooooooooood 'ol Rainy Evening! Really cooled things off. Yesterday it was in the low 90s. This weekend it is supposed to be in the mid-90s. But enough about coot's age.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol World Productivity Day! Obviously, not applicable to this thread.

Sizzling hot here, actual temp today & tomorrow more than 100 with a heat index of 110.

Hot here for the next week. Lots of free music around this weekend, not sure if I want to brave the heat to go see it.

It has been 90 in the shade here today ... which is very hot for my neck of the woods in June ... so I stayed indoors and listened to music whilst cooking a curry for tomorrows dinner ... oh yes, and I did partake of the odd cold brew or two too
