Hey Lee, assuming your Freight Train Band show tickets are reasonable, I highly recommend going !

Just saw them down here 2 weeks ago and thought it was really good - with the exception of the song Butch sings, which thankfully is just one song, ha.

Damon Fowler is really good, along with all the other youngsters in the band !

$22-$34. It is on a Friday.

Problem for me is that Evanston is one of those 'can't get there from here' places for me......

Even though I am closer it might be easier for you in a way since I have to take the trains and I would have to walk a bit. I don't know why they put that place way up in Evanston. There are cheap neighborhoods here in the city.

Putz and Steph's place is in Rogers Park, so that is one of the closest venues to them. I still haven't been there, but they really like it.

The Wailers are playing at a dive bar (turned occasional concert venue) not too far away from my house tomorrow night. I think I'm gonna go.

Went to my favorite craft beer store today - had a bourbon barrel Neapolitan Milk Stout from Saugatuck, a bourbon barrel brown porter from Blue Island, and a Nitro Velvet Merlin from Firestone........ all very tasty.... Grin

They are easy to cook. 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Even you could figure that out.

I think. 😛

One thing is certain, go to some news website that allows for comments, like cnn.com for example.

Pick a political story, any one, read the story then start reading the comments.

Didn't think much could be worse than our own Whipping Post but I was mistaken, jeez it is brutal out there.

Try the comments under Yahoo stories. There's a gaggle of ginas in every thread.

After that, try Fox Nation. That's a real hoot'n holler.:P

Oh gawd. It's nothing like it was in the 80's. I'm sure the 60's and 70's even more so. Bristol, Talledega, Charlotte, Darlington... What a zoo it was to go to a race. Chicken bones and Budweiser. And sometimes... boobs.

I'm not big on NASCAR, but I'm a big boobs fan.
