Is it too much effort for a run?

Yes, it is.

Thanks Heinie. Wasn't looking for any kind of appreciation or anything but that is nice of you.

I was somewhat bemused by the response to the whole thing. Some good, some bad. I was impressed by this young lady that got out of her car to help me. Special ed teacher so I guess we were able to help the guy in some respect.

The incident took place right outside of a United States Postal Distribution Center so there were people coming and going and offering their help. The young lady and I had it covered but it was nice of them to offer assistance.

On the other hand, this happened on Broadway Ave in Chicago. Main thoroughfare. The young lady and I stood there for about 45 minutes and watched city bus after city bus go by. There was a guy laying in the street and not one of the buses stopped.

I just stood there directing traffic. Nobody seemed to care.

You're a good man, Lee

I am kind of wondering wott happened to the guy. They wouldn't tell me where they were taking him but I asked and I kind of knew anyway. I stood around and watched after the police left and I gave my statement. I could tell where the ambulance was going.

I walked home afterwards and saw a few homeless people that I know by face. Nobody should have to deal with this.

DanBastid usually has his contact phone # and address on a little piece of paper in his shirt pocket...

Now, that's funny, right there.... 😉

'Twas in Lincoln today for some minor surgery on a grandson, everything went fine.

Checked out a couple of liquor stores looking for Dragon's Milk.

The only one that had any only had the Coconut Rum Barrel version. Not sure that I'd have chosen that if other variations were available, but, going to try some.

Sang, I think maybe you've had that, did you like it?

I've only been able to find Dragon's Milk in either Lincoln or Omaha.

Prolly, a good thing I don't have more ready access to it. 😉 Cool

Ramping up a little tonight on Washington State and Boise State. I don't expect a lot of effort from either Minnesota or Baylor.

Hopefully feather the nest a little to load up even more on Tennessee on Friday.

Not much effort from Washington State either. Mad

Can't believe one of those teams actually won. Wott a seriously bad football game. 😮 😛

The owner of my craft beer store gave me a bottle of the coconut rum, and said here's another beer you will like but not be able to find.....

I went to Tribes the other night and had 3 glasses of it on tap - the bartender said it was kind of a dessert beer - the coconut flavor was heavy, but I really liked it.... Grin

That should be a pretty good game. Tennessee can't stop the run. At all.

We have a rule here in Knoxville. Don't ever bet on Tennessee. You'll lose either way. And betting on them to cover a spread? You just never know.

I passed on the bowl game. I went to Nashville to see the Vanderbilt game and was so disgusted, well actually I still am, that I just wasn't going to go down there and see Kneebraska kick their asses.

Tennessee DOES NOT lose to Vanderbilt. It is written in some clay tablet somewhere.

Again, I agree, very nice of Lee, I know he isn't looking for kudos, but we just don't hear enough of that sort of thing these days and it is very outstanding.

Not to get all sappy, but it reminded me of the John Prine song, Hello in There - trust me, unless you want to get a little misty eyed, do not go look up the lyrics.

The encounters I have had with Butch have been remarkably pleasant - unlike some of the other stories I have heard. At Wanee, I told him to stop using my credit card. If he knew I leaned conservative, he would probably call me names...
