I turned down free tickets for the Bears today for the second week in a row. I would rather monitor the games on TV. I have a fair amount of funds riding the last two weeks. 😮

This will prolly jinx me, but, over the past 4 or 5 weeks, I'm 29-8 on the pros. Cha-ching!

Today I have:

Cleveland +6 😮
Chicago +3 1/2 😮
NE -16
GB -7
Tenn -4 1/2 (that ain't going so well Mad )
Houston Even

Hoping to stay hot! Smile

Goooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol day after Xmas day. I spent all weekend working (whilst football was on in the background). Did you know IT people get the holidays off? So I didn't get much done.

Grr.

Hopefully people are working today but I am not holding my breath.

Random questions for the pizza eating Chicago-ans on here :

certainly you don't ALWAYS order a deep dish pie, matter of fact, do you ever ?

do you prefer your city's specialty or do you go with thinner crust ?

We usually eat thin crust....... will get a deep dish once in a while, usually when somebody comes in from out of town and wants to try one....... there is a Lou Malnati's carry out place near us, we get one from there once in a while..... Grin

Good afternoon. Got an Amazon Echo Dot for Christmas :D. Also got a blue tooth adapter which is now hooked up to the stereo. It sounds a lot better than using computer speakers.

Had an interesting morning. Stopped into McDonald's for some breakfast to go. A homeless man was walking across the street and slipped on ice in front of me. I tried to catch him but couldn't. He landed on his head. I tried everything I could to help him but couldn't. He was bombed out of his mind, drooling all over me. But a young lady and I kept him coherent. I waited for The City of Chicago to send help, which took forever.

I was going to hail a cab and take him to Illinois Masonic Hospital but I couldn't get him up.

An ambulance and police finally showed up. The paramedics knew who he was and didn't seem too concerned about him. I found that sad.

I decided to begin watching the Breaking Bad marathon on yesterday, AMC had it going, in order, may still be going.

I now see what all the fuss is about, I watched all of Season 1 and a couple from Season 2.

Thanks Heinie. Wasn't looking for any kind of appreciation or anything but that is nice of you.

I was somewhat bemused by the response to the whole thing. Some good, some bad. I was impressed by this young lady that got out of her car to help me. Special ed teacher so I guess we were able to help the guy in some respect.

The incident took place right outside of a United States Postal Distribution Center so there were people coming and going and offering their help. The young lady and I had it covered but it was nice of them to offer assistance.

On the other hand, this happened on Broadway Ave in Chicago. Main thoroughfare. The young lady and I stood there for about 45 minutes and watched city bus after city bus go by. There was a guy laying in the street and not one of the buses stopped.

I just stood there directing traffic. Nobody seemed to care.
