Any good? Saw something about a new one and it sounds interesting.
Well, it depends. Just like the band he was in for 41 years, it's pretty much love/hate when it comes to him and his writing. If you accept who the guy is from the get-go, it's easier to process.
A lot of his book writing is about him being on the road. For several tours he would not ride tour buses, when he was younger he'd have the bus drop him off 50 miles or so outside of a city and he'd bicycle in. When he switched to motorcycles he rode those from town-to-town. For a solid sample of his writing style, go to his website and click on "News," there's a ton of entries, kinda like a blog.
His book Ghost Rider was pretty emotional. Roadshow provided a lot of insight on just how intense and freaky music fans can be (especially to a guy that doesn't really get into having fans in the first place).
I read the Google Books preview of the new one. Rush is done forever as a touring entity, that's for sure.
