Yet Sang didn't remember that is number three on my most hated list behind Rocking Horse and Soulshine. Egad...
On the other hand he did remember to spill a beer all over me. 😮 😉
It's all part of the experience........ 😛

In Snag's defense, he did say "oops". Smart guy that snag.

Good ol' Sunday morning MT threaders! Hope everyone is getting through the winter months and escaping the flu. I'm trying not to breathe too much in crowds.
I've been going back in time and watching The Sopranos during the commute. I've watched 5 seasons and just about to start the last. Maybe the Godfather trilogy will be next in the queue. Guess I'm feeling a little gangster love these days.
Would love to catch an Isbell show. It's on the list. Just have to get the time and place to come together.
The most recent music JFC and I took in was a father/son duo from Philly called Beaucoup Blues Band. They were fun. The elder reminded me of Dickey in his mannerisms. Had the hat, too.
Then we caught a husband and wife show -- Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams. Fabulous. I have had them on my list but somehow missed they were going to be 30 min from home. JFC read it in the morning paper and said "Hey, don't you want to see these two?" Ten minutes later we had tix. Sweet!
We were scheduled to see Devon Allman last Fall but that was postponed when he started his new project. Originally we were going to get a new date in April but the theatre just sent me a refund check so I guess that's not happening. He is scheduled to play the area at another venue. Not sure I'll look to get those, though.
We have tix to see AJ Croce in April. He's not Jim, but he's good. He doesn't try to be his dad, but on his latest album he included the only song Jim had ready for his next album before the plane crash.
Thinking about Peachfest but not sure we'll be able to swing it.
Keep on keepin on MT friends!

Hi Jeanne!

Snagged some Dragon's Milk yesterday to imbibe during the Super Bowl.
Everybody seems to be on the Eagles. I'm still pondering but I'm leaning toward the Patriots (although I'm long ago tired of them winning these). Prolly wait and see if Gronk is playing, although I suspect he will.

They didn't Thursday. Buddy was good. I sure hope I have that much energy past 80, if I make it that long. No acoustic mini-set, but the show was otherwise familiar.
Eric Gales was really great. I thought some of the songs from his debut in the early 90s were fantastic, and then he mostly disappeared. He's been sober for 18 months, so it sounds like recreational substances were getting in the way. He had a power trio plus his wife on percussion. Alot of the rhythm section was cool-sometimes it had a gospel tent or a Prince sound to it.
Buddy had Gales sit in for a song towards the end of the evening. Sad to miss TTB, but glad to catch Buddy while I can, and to see a younger blues guy playing well after a rough start.

Next up is Ben Miller Band at Schubas. I don't know much about them, but one of my friends has been trying to get me to see them for years.

Li, it's a $15 show if you want to gamble some shoe shine money on someone you've never heard before.

Hello to the MTers!
I am tired of facebook nonsense.
Just passing through. Hope all of you are well.
Does anybody know Tom(basspatch) who used to be on here?
I was just reading some old PMs. I love the one from Bobo telling me 'otie' is really a good guy!
Since then I met him in Macon a couple of years ago at GABBA and we are friends on Facebook.
He really is a nice guy! Who knew! 😉

Not Bobo............ 😛

Maybe. Last time I was there you could smoke so it's been a while. We are going there in a few weeks.

A Tom Petty thing came up on my music today. As we know he has a HUGE fan. Tom Petty with John Lee Hooker. A show Bobo sent me from 1997. Wow...
