Was out grooming off the driveway again after a couple of inches of fluffy snow. Seemed like overkill to fire up the snowblower.

Putz, Steph and I went to Thalia Hall Friday to see Rebirth, and they sold the last ticket to the guy in front of us.
Instead, we went to Lagunitas, then caught Lil' Ed and Joanna Connor at Kingston Mines.
B.L.U.E.S. was closed for utility work.

After several years away, happy to be going to New Orleans for French Quarter Fest in April!
Even happier I'm staying at a friend's relative's condo, so I only have to pay for airfare, food, and evening music.

REALLY want to go to Peachfest at Montage. Flights from Chicago to there are ridiculous. Plus I'm not packing a tent on a plane to camp. I have some months to work on a plan.

Personally, I like B.L.U.E.S. better. Smaller, more intimate. Just my preference.
Will have to check it out. Do they stay open as late? Also want to check out the green mill sometime.
No. Kingston has a 4:00 AM license. B.L.U.E.S. is 2:00 AM. On Saturdays they get an extra hour on top of that so you could stumble home as the sun is rising on a Sunday morning. I think a few of us did that after a Mule show years ago.
Probably the night I heard Soulshine three times. I think Chris Robinson opened the first show. Hell, he might as well have played it. Larry McCray did it twice as I recall.
