Cataract surgery went well.....

Good to hear. Do you notice any improvement in your vision?

Yes, my distance vision is 20/20 now. Still need glasses for close up. Maybe I'll be about to follow my golf ball again.....
Surgery was easy - lasted 10 minutes. Very weird though. They use a lot of drops to freeze your eyeball. They twilight you, but not so that you are out - they want you to be able to look down and up when they tell you. You go into a real (and cold) operating room where they tape your head down so you can't move. All you see are 3 bright lights while they do it. They make an incision, scramble your lens and pull out the pieces, Then they put the implant lens back in. It was very quick. Went back the next day for them to check vision and look at it - only took about 5 minutes. Said everything was perfect.
Only weird thing is I have a rather large floater - it looks like a 3 inch piece of frayed black yarn. They said that is caused by the medicine they used, and it will disappear in about a week. It is very annoying.
But I can definitely tell that my sight is better. Definitely worth it........
Oh....... and Good Afternoon..........
Just need to take it easy for a few days.... so I watched the Phil Lesh and Friends DVD from 2006 in SF with a great band - Larry Campbell, John Scofield, Joan Osbourne, Molo, Barraco and a sax player. Had to listen in headphones, but my receiver makes them sound like surround sound - I was twirling in my seat.....
Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood afternoon lazy rear ends!

Just curious; what is a floater?

Something that you see when your eye is open that seems to "float" around in your field of vision ...... some people see spots, dots, etc. This is much bigger.....

Heads up to the Chicago crowd, Tinsley will be at S.P.A.C.E. at the end of January.
I'll see him in Omaha in February, possibly three times in Colorado in March and later that month in Des Moines. May have to drag Slim to Des Moines and coax Sandman there too.

I hate to do that to Tinsley though.... 😛 😉

Space is one of those 'can't get there from here' places for me............ Mike Zito and Bob Mould are playing there soon .......
It's a Wednesday here or I might go. Perhaps I still will. It isn't the easiest place to get to from Chicago. It's in Evanston (where Northwestern is).

Tinsley added a Lincoln show the night after Des Moines.
Sounds like Razor is in on the Des Moines show!
Tinsley may announce his retirement shortly after that.... 😉
