I know it's a stretch but if anyone wants to go see Tedeschi Trucks Thursday, January 25th in Chicago I have an extra ticket in a box. THB cant make it so it would just be you and me. I already paid for the suite or whatever it's called.

Just buy me a beer and we'll call it even.

I could be talked into that.......

Well if it's you the cost of rent just went up. 😛

I really want to see JJ Grey & Mofro more than TTB. That's why I got Thursday tickets instead of Friday or Saturday because that's the only night they are playing with them. I guess the other nights are an evening with.

Oh and it's at The Chicago Theatre but I imagine you figured that out. 😉

We can go to Greektown for dinner before if you want.

Smile

Oh and the ironic thing about the show is that I got the tickets in the mail yesterday and THB came home in the evening from work and told me she couldn't go.

Listened to a spectacular Albert Castiglia show today courtesy of SlimZimm.

Albert was Junior Wells' guitarist for many years. If you get a chance to catch Albert you should.

In addition to his own very good original work he plays such songs as "Need Your Love So Bad" "Goin' Upstairs" "Loan Me A Dime" "Goin' Down Slow" all of which have direct connections to Duane's studio musician work. Also plays a number of Freddie King tunes. He knows his connections, he plays "Freddie's Boogie" which Freddie's band would play at their shows when Freddie entered the stage and then again when he left at the shows end. Freddie never released that song, that Albert plays it, shows his real deep appreciation of the Texas Cannonball.

Very approachable at his shows too.

Which I know from having seen a Freddie King/Willie Dixon double bill in Lincoln on 2/19/73. I still have two concert posters from that show. Smile

Two nights later drove to Omaha for Willie by himself at a bar in Omaha.

As it turns out, Slim was in attendance that night too. 😮

May have been several feet away from each other, who knows? Figured that out years later. Grin

Didn't actually meet Slim until a DTB/Santana show in Omaha many years later. Also the first time meeting LolasDeb. Cool
