Good morning! 
It's almost kickoff, and the basement is drying uo fairly well.
Sang, I picked up our Zappa Plays Zappa tickets from my friend this morning-we are front row center in the balcony. 
Now we just need to pick a pre-show watering hole.
My Saturday:
So last night's "concert" was a total debacle. I've been to this venue many times and I've never heard of lawn seats there, which is what I bought. My friends went there earlier in the week for a show and I asked them about the existence of a lawn because the place is right on Lake Michigan so there isn't any room. Neither of my pals knew anything about a lawn.
Carin had to use the restroom outside of the venue. We overheard females saying they would not use the porta potties as they were so disgusting. They were. So we get to the gate and try to get in. Usher said you have to go to the different gate. Never knew this existed.
Went in and it was just a fenced off area behind the venue. We weren't there five minutes and Carin said "we are getting the eff out of here". I'm like, what? I want to see Mellencamp and Neil Young! Well, you couldn't see anything. I mean nothing. We sort of heard a bit of Jack Johnson and I think Mavis Staples. All you could really hear were all the people socializing. It was like being at a bar.
Then I saw a woman washing here feet in a pool of muddy water. We left. Found a building with actual restrooms. We went into our respective places. I happened to look to my right outside of an open door and I saw Carin walking by as I am doing my business.
Get in a cab home. The guy says he doesn't really know the city. No problem, we do. We are on Lake Shore Drive which is basically a freeway/interstate. We tell the guy the exit. He drives right past it. I guess he couldn't read the huge signs. I am livid at this point. So we get him going in the right direction and get back to the gayborhood.
Basically, we wasted about $200.
That should have been a book. 😉
That sucks.
Afternoon, Lions are being the Lions. Should of found something better to do.

Cool. Just found out I have to go to a funeral Wednesday morning in Washington, IL. Should be in Merrillville in plenty of time for pre-concert libations....... mom of a friend passed away. I'll bring your Drive By Truckers ticket.......

They moved Saturday's show from The Riv to The Vic. Gotta be slow ticket sales as The Vic is quite a bit smaller.

Good morning, had a solid birthday weekend. Had to work on Saturday for 90 minutes. What a big waste of time that was. Hit up a few breweries afterwords :D. Yesterday did dinner at home which was nice. Now back to the grind of the work week.

It's a great little place. I don't get there that often, since it's nearby, but a little out of the way.
