Cam got moved up to JV this week. He came in last night with the bases loaded and closed out the game.

Anders was great last night! He's added a second guitar player, Eric McFadden, and a keyboard player to the trio he's toured with since he cleaned up. I would highly recommend checking this tour out.

On this leg of the tour, Amy Helm and her band opened. Also very good. Near the end of her set, the band did an acoustic gospel song Levon taught her. He would've been proud.

I've got to say it is nice going into the season with no expectations. My Buddy from Iowa City will be coming out for the Cubs 3 day stand. I've got my opening day ticket.

I might make it out to Pittsburgh at the end of September for that 3 game series. The weather should be great. I've been meaning to get to that ball field.

I'm ready for some baseball!

How popular is Dark Lord Day? Just wondering because I saw someone offer opening day tickets to the Tigers for Dark Lord Day tickets

Moid will be best to answer this since he has gone - it is very popular - there isn't much parking available, so it's hard to get to that day. Plus this year tickets are $200 (see previous moid post).

Bummer - just got an email that Steven Wilson cancelled for tomorrow night - may have to try to see if tickets are available for Tuesday. 🙁

Second time he has cancelled on me - once before his father died and the Blackfield show I was supposed to see was cancelled.

Have to start calling him Dickey.... 😛

Be wary of any sale-tickets are truly non-transferable, so you have to get in with whoever bought the tickets. I didn't score tickets this year, but I'm ok with that. I personally wouldn't make a trip out of it, but it's only 45 minutes from my house.

It is hugely popular, and a logistical nightmare. It's a pain in the ass to park-last year I was good 1/2 mile from the entracnce, so I ended up carrying my beer around the whole time. Between getting in, and standing in line to pick up your allotment, you're usually in line for more than two hours, sometimes three or more.

The $200 cost is probably even with prior years, if you decided to buy a $50 barrel aged version, you're just paying it up front.

They do encourage the sharing of craft and homebrewed beer, so there is a collegial, sloppy vibe to the whole thing. It's almost guaranteed to rain buckets.

Music is eclectic. The Floyds love metal, so that's the focus. Last year the 90s lineup of Corrosion of Conformity was the headliner. Kylesa and Big Freedia also played. Anybody who was up for catching some trans cronk (as part of the Eff Indiana/Eff Mike Pence stuff last sping) was treated to $5 12ounce pours of 2010 barrel aged dark lord.

Cost is to high for me, especially for some stout. Would like to stop in to Three Floyds sometime but I hear they are always busy.

Until Chicago scored those two goals in the third it was an entertaining game.

I was supposed to meet my cousin at 3 Floyds a couple weeks ago, but it was the day before I left for LA.... and it was snowing heavily in Indiana - he said there were only 4 people there, so the chefs wanted to try things and gave them free food.......
