As I recall, 1627 was a pretty good year.

Happy Fryday!!
The band last night put on a good show, and they are very talented.
The band had elements of funk R&B, and progressive rock. The bass player (who was wearing a Zappa T) was one hell of a player.
The crowd was incredibly diverse as well-I think middle-aged white guy was the smallest group there.
As an added bonus, the keyboardist for the opener whipped out a keytar for theit last song. 😛

From wikipedia:
Park West is the name of a music venue and special events space, in Chicago, Illinois located at the corner of Armitage Avenue and Clark Street.
The theater was originally a vaudeville and movie theater - The Lane Court - when it opened in the 1920s, with a capacity of 900 people. In the 1960s, the theater became The Town Theatre, eventually showing adult films and featuring live burlesque. In the 1970s, it was purchased by Dale Niedermaier and John May, refurbished and re-opened as Park West, the music venue and special events space in May 1977. The 700-seat theater hosts a variety of bands, most of which perform classic rock or alternative rock. Aretha Franklin filmed her successful HBO concert there in 1985.
The Derek Trucks Band recorded their 2006 live DVD, Songlines Live at the venue.
Good afternoon, I'm ready for the weekend. Looking forward to seeing String Cheese Incident tomorrow night
Conor is back for fall break-going to the Park West tonight to see a funk and soul band he likes, Hiaitus Kaiyote.
The cd he burned for me is pretty good.
Listened to there new album awhile back. Thought it was solid but a bit on the long side.
