i believe the fireworks were between sets………….the words ALLMAN BROS. lit up out by the right field bleachers!
this was my first ABB show………….they played a whole hell of alot longer then 45 minutes…………………GUARENTEED…………..i believe Muddy Waters opened the show….
John Schers intro was simply”there is no better way to start off the summer then with the finest band in the land………….The Allman Brothers Band”……..they opened with Wasted Words and did the traditional 74 set…………somewhere i have the stub and the set list………….but they played much longer then 45 minutes
They did NOT! I was there, and I recall the set starting well before the sun set, w/Wasted Words, and ending quite some time later, in darkness.
I know it was dark, because they had a fireworks show after the concert, or before the encore-my memory of the details are “hazy” (eh!) but I do recall Jessica, Liz Reed, many other long tunes.
45 minutes is wrong!!! Maybe someone switched 6/7/74 with 6/8/74?
Why did the band ONLY play 45 minutes as referenced above ^ ????
