An album by The 2nd Coming has just been released. It was recorded in 1969 in Jacksonville, FL. While no members of the Allman Brothers Band performed on this recording it features Larry Reinhardt (guitar), Reese Wynans (organ), Richard ‘Hombre’ Price (bass), plus Monty Young and John Meeks both on drums. These musicians would later play with Captain Beyond, Iron Butterfly, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lucinda Williams, Joe Bonamassa, and many more. The 2nd Coming emerged from the same Florida 60s scene that gave birth to the Allman Brothers Band and forged their own loud blend of blues and hard-psychedelic rock.
