I was at this concert (Oct. 30, 1970, Vanderbilt University) and I do not remember Jesse Colin Young performing at all, though he could have been there since I arrived a bit late but in time to see ABB. I do remember that ABB opened for Bread who were the headliners, which I thought was a terrible mismatch. I was only at the concert to see the ABB, no offense to Bread, mind you. This was the first time I had seen Duane and Greg perform since I had heard them with The Allman Joys at The Briar Patch in Nashville.
Anyone have any memories to share of this one in Gregg & Duanes former home?

Butch Truck’s blog about the band doing opium after this show, and Duane nearly dying: https://thebutchtrucks.blogspot.com/2011/08/strange-tale-of-tragedy.html He also reflects on the deaths of Duane and Berry.
