Anyone else out there love the instrumentals the most?

I literally dream of the day when the Brothers play an entire show with no words. No kidding... I actually sit on the train and think about my ideal instrumental show:

Hot Lanta opener
Pegasus
True Gravity
Liz Reed
Kind of Bird
Little Martha to bring it down a little
Mountain Jam>
Illness>
JJ's Alley>
Mountain Jam

E: High Falls

That would be sheer bliss!!!! Did I miss anything?

That would make for quite a show

If you're going to include JJs Alley, you should probably include Rave On....

Then, taking it another step, you should add Duane's Tune....it was played by the ABB a couple times in 89

How the #%$@ could I have forgotten Jessica and Les Brers?

What album do Madness of the West and One More Try come from?

I'm guessing from either BOTR or RFTS, the only two I don't have....

From the Madness of the West is on Reach for the Sky, yes.

One More Ride is on the Dreams box set - it's actually a song from (my guess) 1970, maybe the Idlewild South recordings. It's not really an instrumental, but the vocals were removed from the track on the box set.

Marley,

According to the Dreams booklet, the song was recorded in July 1970 & therefore belonged to the Idlewild South sessions. I hadn't heard that it had a vocal on it before - has anyone heard the vocal version? Is there any reason why the vocal was removed?

Paul

I've never heard a reason. It does kind of make for an interesting piece of trivia, since I think it's the only song Gregg and Dickey ever co-wrote.
